Katy Perry + Eylure False Eyelashes in Sweetie Pie, Oh, Honey!, Cool Kitty, Oh, My! & EOTD feauting Sweetie Pie & Cool Kitty

Hey everybody,

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good! I promised to show you the limited edition Katy Perry lashes by Eylure, so here they are!

There are four styles in total. I am going to start from the more natural and move on to the more dramatic. At the end I’ll also show you two EOTDs so you’ll get a better idea of how they really look! You can click to enlarge the packaging pictures if you want to read the instructions on the back. I put them together so that the article wouldn’t become too long.

Seetie Pie is the most natural one among the four. When you open the box, this is what you see:

Each pair comes with a small bottle of glue. The applicator is hard plastic, and I find it OK easy to apply glue onto the lashes with it. I struggled a little, but that could just be because I’m clumsy! I have actually bought Eylure lashes before and I like them. The glue dries transparent, and it holds up very well. I tested it out again this time, and my experience is consistently positive.

The cute thing about these eyelashes is all of them come with stickers that has their names on!

Like Oh, Honey, the band of Sweetie Pie is transparent. When you go to my EOTD at the end, you’ll see that if you look VERY closely, you see the transparent band. However, I don’t think within the normal viewing range people are going to spot that!

Oh, Honey! is already quite a bit longer, and it really flares out at the outer corner. I think they’ll make some sexy kitten eyes!

The two pairs I have showed you above are what I consider things that you could wear on a daily basis. Of course it all depends on what you are used to. For some (including myself), even Sweetie Pie belongs to the nighttime glamour category. For those of you who have a real taste for drama however, what you’re about to see will probably blow your minds!

Cool Kitty is long and spiky! It already takes a bit more skills and effort to maneuver, but if you want something special Cool Kitty might just be your thing!

Last but not least, I bring you Oh, My!

These are the most hardcore falsies I have ever seen in my life. They are so long, dense, and heavy! I think you’d need quite some experience and practice with falsies in general to manipulate these. Your lids are also more likely than not to feel the weight.

But really, if you want to attract some attention, Oh, My is your girl! I’m relatively sure this is what Perry wears on the promotional image as well.

Now onto the EOTDs. I tested these out on the same night. If you think about how I sat in front of my computer for hours with different falsies on each eye, it’s probably quite an entertaining thought!

This is the “Sweetie Pie” eye. For someone who doesn’t wear falsies all the time, even Sweetie Pie has an awful lot of impact! You can see in the closed-eye picture that the band is transparent.

Just to challenge myself, I also tested out Cool Kitty. It’s actually rather heavy, and my vision was partially obscured! I can’t imagine how Oh, My! would feel, but then again I don’t yet have the skills to even put them on :p

If you go to the back of the box, there are actually some pretty useful tips for applying falsies. I did need to trim a bit off so that they would fit.

Do you think you’ll grab some of these? Do you normally wear false lashes? Have you ever? Are you willing to try?

Sunny, your beauty culture translator xx

I have to end up commenting using my FB username, Sunny. The WP.com login drove me nuts.
Anyway, I can’t wait to see your mega dramatic falsies on you! Have you tried Eyelure’s individual lashes before?

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Hey Lily! This is really weird, because for some of my readers the problem is solved. I really don’t know what I can/should to about it, because I never changed any settings and I’ve been probing around to no avail.

Anyways, unless I’m going on stage (or just for a GRAND night out) I don’t think I’ll try Oh, My! Cool Kitty is already rather heavy, and my vision was already partially obscured. Wouldn’t know what to do if I had Oh, My on! And nope, I haven’t tried individual lashes yet! I’ve seen them and toyed with the idea of getting some, but I’ve just been lazy. I should though! I heard they’re really as natural as what you could have been born with!

I personally haven’t ever worn false lashes, but I often watch Michelle Phan’s videos on YouTube, and she sometimes cuts them into half and uses each half on each outer edge of her eye.
    Cool blog, btw! :)

Hey Kat! Thanks so much for dropping by and leaving a comment!

I know that half lashes or even individual lashes are more natural, but I guess people want different things, and if they want drama then there are two styles here that would really suit them!

I like your blog too! I’m following you now :)

I still have to try these, I will use them in a shoot…on myself, not a good idea!

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Hey Peggy! Soooo nice of you to drop by!

You should at least try once. Sweetie Pie isn’t all that scary. I think it looks more dramatic on me just because I don’t have a crease or a lot of lid space!

  • http://www.aprettybeautifullife.be Diana

I love these! And lol they obscure my vision too. They look very lovely on you though!

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Thanks Diana! I do think they look more dramatic on me than they would on someone with a crease and more lid space though, which could be good or bad ;)

  • http://mybeautyhoard.blogspot.com/ Jacqueline

I love falsies but can’t do dramatic ones because of my smallish eyes, I wear Ardells 108 or 109 out all the time. I love how Sweetie Pie and Oh Honey look. I wonder if they would look overly dramatic on me.
I usually line the transparent band with black liquid liner so that it would not be obvious. You should try D.U.P. eye lash glue, it is fantastic, I literally threw away my duo glue once I used it.

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Hey Jacqueline! I don’t think your eyes are small. Personally I think they tend to look more dramatic on us because we don’t have a crease or an awful lot of lid space. I’m sure if you think Sweetie Pie looks OK on me it should work for you too! I have worn something like Oh Honey in the past, and it was not really screaming “I’ve got some falsies on y’all” either.

Thanks for letting me in on the great tricks! I’ll try to line the band next time :)

I really love them on you, they have such a great impact!

Btw Sunny, Im having trouble again wit commenting, I have to use another e-mail account now. Just so you know! :)

Hey Teri, thanks for the compliment! Also, thanks for letting me know the comment system is being weird again. Aargh. Unfortunately I think there is a problem with WordPress, because my blog is apparently not the only one that is affected. I have tried to talk to them but so far nobody is getting me back. I will try again and see if they can finally fix this annoying bug! xx

I’ve never actually worn lashes… don’t think i ever will but these look so lovely and lush.

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Thanks! I don’t wear them on a daily basis or anything, but for a special occasion or night out they’re pretty cool :)

      • http://mychocolethandbag.wordpress.com kofykat

        that i can see.

Wow they look amazing on your eyes! I’ve never worn false lashes myself, but my sister does all the time for her ballet performances. Watching her peel off the eyelashes is very disconcerting:

If you’ve ever watched The Rescuers, the villain named Medusa pulls off her eyelashes too.

It makes me shudder every time LOL

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

You make me laugh lol. They can be easily removed with some makeup remover. Nobody is supposed to tug on their lids like that ya know ;)

      • http://pearlessence.wordpress.com pearlessence

*blush* I’m going to have to tell her that right now. Every time she peels her eyelashes off she freaks my dad and I out haha it’s so scary :x

  • Christine Brigid

Oh, I was looking at these today at Ulta… haven’t ventured into the world of false lashes yet, but I love how dramatic these are on you.

    • http://mostlysunnybunny.wordpress.com Sunny

Hey Christine, actually they wouldn’t look as dramatic on you at all! They look dramatic on me because my lid space is much more limited and I don’t have a crease. If you want something natural to begin with, you can also try individual lashes or half lashes on the outer corner :)
