Dear readers,
I know I should be cleaning and running errands instead, but I just received some very interesting information and since it seems relatively unseen in the blogosphere, I have decided to share it with you!
On June 1st (this is the date I received for Belgium), Chanel is launching a collection called Les Expressions de Chanel. This collection is definitely screaming my name because it’s ALL ABOUT EYES! It is composed of 2 mascaras (Intimitable Intense and Sublime de Chanel Waterproof), three quads (Les 4 Ombres), and three cream shadows (Illusion d’Ombre).
Has this got your blood racing? Let’s check them out!
Intimitable Intense is not new with this collection, and from what I can see a lot of people simply RAVE about it! It promises to do it all: volume, length, curls, and definition! I have a tiny sample of Intimitable which I haven’t tried, but now I would LOVE to see if the Intense version really does it all!
(The mascara is actually black, but on the images I received we see the wand without mascara. It retails for 30 euros.)
Sublime de Chanel is not new, but this waterproof version is! Especially for summertime, a waterproof mascara can really come in handy (it also retails for 30 euros). That reminds me: I’ll have to dig a waterproof mascara out for tomorrow, because it’ll have to last ALL day and I might cry!
I fell fast and hard in love with the Brown Expression set, but of course it’s because I’m seeing all the gold!!!
This set includes the Illusion d’Ombre in Vision (89) and Les 4 Ombres quad in Intuition (36) Both are new for the collection. I want to stay professional but it’s too hard. I mean, DID YOU SEE THAT GOLD CREAM SHADOW? *drools*
Another easy favorite of mine is the Purple Expression set. The Illusion d’Ombre in Illusoire (83) is many many people’s dream cream shadow, and the quad Variation (37) looks more than promising with that eggplant and taupe!
Last but not least, we have Coral Expression. Now, we know coral/cherry/red eyeshadows have been getting big on the runway. Very recently we saw this look from Chanel’s Versailles cruise show. Now you can recreate it with Illusion d’Ombre in Abstraction (88) and Les 4 Ombres Éclosion (34. This is part of the permanent line-up I believe).
Les 4 Ombres go for 49,32 euros and Illusion d’Ombre 28,98.
I’m pretty sure we’re seeing the gorgeous Illusoire here:
What say you? Promising? Is anything calling your name? I will keep you posted about this collection when I receive more news, but in the meantime you can check out today’s post about Summertime de Chanel and stay tuned for part 2 tomorrow!
