A while back I shared some exciting press releases from Dior, and not so long ago I got the opportunity to see everything in person! I’m sure that most of you have seen the Golden Jungle collection in person, but how about the new foundation, brushes, highlighter and so on?
(Dear makeup god: for Christmas can I please have a machine that dispenses Dior foundation in the house? Thank you!)
I can’t say anything before I get to test a foundation out thoroughly, but the powder compacts are for sure velvety! Also, the Nude Shimmer has real potential. I had it applied to the top of my cheekbones, below and on top of my brow bones, and also on my Cupid’s bow. There is no “glitter” or fallout with this one, and it instantly makes the parts stand out! A detailed review will be up on the blog soon, but for the moment I’m very impressed!
Here is a swatch of Nude Shimmer so you get an idea:
I honestly did not want to let go of the brushes. They’re so well-made and bunny soft (maybe with the exception of the flat-top one for powder. For some reason that one feels a bit rougher)!
More lipsticks, anyone? Rouge Dior Nude are supposed to offer nice nude lips for different skin tones. One person’s nude could be another’s concealer lips, and I’m glad Dior figured that out!
I don’t own a single lip liner yet, but this one has certainly piqued my interest. Rouge Dior Contour Nude is just as you see it, colorless when applied. However, it is supposed to make lips look well-defined and keep the lipstick going strong for longer.
The Miss Dior girl in me oohs and aahs at Miss Dior Le Parfum! It is quite a strong scent (Oriental Chypre), but much more grown-up and less sweet than the other versions I have sampled.
Have you seen any of these in person? Did anything catch your eye? I have quite some reviews lining up, so you have a lot to look forward to!
