Let’s Bring Coral Back for Spring! Dior Charmante Dior Addict Lipstick

Hey everyone,

I hope you all enjoyed a great Christmas! I for sure did, and after a couple of days of food marathon and lazing around, I’m ready to get back on track! It feels right to finally start talking about spring collections as well, and today I’m showing you a really friendly and adorable coral lipstick, Dior Charmante (437) Dior Addict Lipstick!

I won’t dwell too much on packaging, since by now I assume most of you are familiar with the packaging of Dior Addict Lipsticks. It’s chic, sleek, and functional: I wouldn’t ask for more!

Charmante is a soft peachy coral. Like other Dior Addict Lipsticks I have tried, it leans sheer, and the texture feels like a lip balm. The finish is very juicy and shiny. Charmante wears comfortably for around 2 hours and a half on me. Even though it doesn’t resist well to food and drinks, it can be slicked on so easily without a mirror that I am not too bothered!

Here is how it looks swatched. I know it looks so sheer that it seems almost colorless, but even on my rather pigmented lips it makes a visible difference:

I might have mentioned that I carry next to makeup in my bag, but Charmante has already earned its place there (along with Chanel Troublant). With my warm skin tone, pulling coral off is normally rather easy, but even then, sometimes it doesn’t look right without a bit of blush. Charmante however, works just as well alone as it does with any makeup look you want to wear. Smokey eye? No problem. Understated everyday look? Bring it on. Just a bit of color to look nicer at the supermarket? Done. I have problems thinking of a scenario in which it wouldn’t fit!

Here I’m wearing Charmante with the eyeshadows in Dior Chérie Bow Rose Poudré, Diorblush Rose Bonheur/Pink Happiness. You’ll see these two soon enough as well!

Bottom line: Dior Charmante Dior Addict Lipstick wears comfortably and offers just a pinch of soft coral that is perfect for spring. The peachiness in Charmante makes it easier to wear than a more orange coral, and the juicy balm texture makes application a breeze. Let’s face it: most of the time I don’t need more than an adorable and easygoing coral to brighten up my day!

    Hmm, it’s so sheer! I wished the lipsticks from this collection were a tad more pigmented, they seem to barely show up. But that been said, I do really love it on you, it gives you a very soft and warm looking lip :) .

      I know what you mean, but that’s why Charmante is so versatile and easy to wear! You probably don’t need 20 sheer lipsticks, but they do have their place :)

    wow it surprised me how sheer it is on your hand swatch! But on your lips, it looks pretty and it reminds me a bit of lip butter or tinted lip balm :) )

      Yeah it looks SO sheer on my arm, but on my lips it does make a visible difference! Tinted lip balms usually don’t show up on me at all, so this is better :)

    I feel like sheer corals are sometimes the most natural-yet-brightening shades on light-medium warm skintones. Revlon Tutti Frutti is my go-to :)

      Yay, glad to hear you like light corals as well! I have some more “hardcore” ones, but now I’m beginning to see how much a sheer one can do. I won’t be tanned enough to wear brighter ones anytime soon, but this is great as it is!

    I love the lipstick! I havnt yet tried the formula and am very eager too. The packaging of the eye palette is very pretty. The whole collection looks very wearable. I think the eyeshadow needs a pop color shade.

    The lipstick looks pretty on you. I kinda like my lippies more pigmented but nevertheless this looks like a great everyday shade to wear.
