Review: Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20

The Budapest-based skincare brand Omorovicza might be more known for their pot of black mud, but they also have several “SPF Enhancers” up their sleeve. The Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 claims to do it all (moisturizer, foundation, sunscreen, concealer, and anti-aging cream), and it is free of silicone (you can find the ingredient list below)! I’ve been using it for the past three weeks, and I’m ready to share my findings!

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 comes in a glass bottle with a pump. The bottle contains 50ml and goes for 105 euros. The bottle is sturdy, and the pump works very well. I have no problem getting out the exact amount of product I need, and you can lock it by turning so it should be fine to travel with.

This is a whole pump of product, but rest assured you will not need a whole pump each time. It has some really fine ruby crystal that I didn’t even see till I was dotting it on my face standing under the light. However, once blended you really can’t see it anymore.

The texture of this BB cream is interesting. It’s thick so it takes a little more effort to rub it in, but it’s airy so it doesn’t feel like a thick layer on. I use my fingers to blend it in, since it works well enough that way (to be honest this is one of the reasons why I love this formula so much. I don’t always want to bust my foundation brush out or have to wash it afterwards). The finish is one of the amazing things about this, because it’s not matte or dewy. It basically just looks like skin. What’s better, it stays that way all day. I have combination skin with oilier T-zone, and if I use anything wrong my T-zone could get seriously oily. With this one however, my skin stays the way it looks and feels after my light cleansing in the morning. It doesn’t feel dry, but it is not “dewy” either.

This is how it looks blended in;

Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 has more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but less than a medium-coverage foundation. It evens my skin tone out very well, makes it look nice and smooth, and covers small imperfections. My skin looks more than presentable with this, but some concealer might be necessary if I want to wear full-face makeup. If I wear it alone all day, the edges would look faded by the end of the day. If I set it with powder however, it’s not a problem. I can’t really evaluate the anti-aging benefit this BB cream claims to have, since it is not yet my concern.

Now, the only complaint I have about this one is the fact that there is only one shade, and it is too light for me. Omorovicza did nail the undertone though. I would say it is fairly neutral, since it doesn’t look as yellow as my natural undertone, but nor does it make me look pink. It is however, one to two shades too light for my NC 25-30 skin tone. If I set it with a compact foundation (like Becca Dream), it is passable. I am not too sure this will still work in summer, but for the moment it’s fine. A little bird did tell me Omorovicza is developing new shades, so I am keeping my fingers crossed about one of them turning out to be a great match. After all, how the formula works and the fact that it does not contain silicone make it a BB cream dream-come-true!

I have worn the combination of Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 and Becca Dream in the following pictures:

I do consider the combination photographing reasonably well and looking just fine in real life!

Here is the ingredient list if anyone needs it:

Bottom line: If you are around NC/NW 15-20 and are looking for a BB cream that doesn’t contain silicone, please take Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 into consideration. I love how my skin looks just like skin (not matte, not dewy) with this on, and it also seems freshly cleansed and conditioned all day (my T-zone doesn’t grease up, and my cheeks don’t feel dry). SPF 20 is more than enough if you mostly stay indoor, and the fact that it doesn’t contain silicone makes it many people’s dream-come-true. I will start praying for a perfect match in their new shades, because this is a BB cream I see myself wearing every day!

What do you wear on a daily basis? A tinted moisturizer? BB cream? Or foundation? Does Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB 20 look like something that might work for you?

Oooooh, Sunny. Wow. This looks amazing. I would LOVE to try this. It looks gorgeous on you, finished yet so natural.

    • Sunny

Yaay glad you like it Christine! It’s as easy as a tinted moisturizer to apply but offers more coverage. At the same time it’s neither mattifying nor too dewy on me. I have no idea how Omorovicza did this but it’s really pretty amazing!

  • Shoegal

    好貴!

    • Sunny

I know what you mean, but it’s about the only BB cream on the market that’s not chock-full of silicone, so I think there’s a market for people whose skin is allergic to silicone. On top of that, most BB creams/foundations contain 30ml and this contains 50 :)

  • http://www.beautyloves.be BeautyLoves

This looks good! Like the fact that it has a pump and the glass bottle looks very fancy. Not that that’s the most important thing, but I don’t mind if it does :)

    • Sunny

I know what you mean. I would personally never consider buying a foundation that comes without a pump. I can’t even bring myself to begin imagining the potential mess. Yeah I’m a real cleaning freak!

  • http://beautiesatwork.wordpress.com/ beauties

    looks really natural :)

    • Sunny

Yes it is, and it’s free of silicone so big bonus point!

oh wow this one is so interesting!! but the pricetag is so hefty ! T.T
I dont know if they have a counter here in germany, because I would love to give it a try before spending so much money on a bb cream..
    your skin looks flawless,Sunny!

    • Sunny

Yeah I know, but it gives you 50ml instead of the regular 30ml you tend to get out of this type of products.

I’d definitely encourage you to try it out since you seem fairer than I am. The formula is so wacky awesome!

  • http://followmarla.blogspot.com/ Marla

That looks great on you. The darn bb creams are always too light for my olive skin. I have been using a mineral powder lately that I am addicted to .

    • Sunny

Oh yeah I know what you mean. The only BB cream I’ve tried so far that works really well for my summer skin tone is Dior Hydra Life. I’m sure the tube is almost empty after last spring/summer, but for now it’s too dark!

  • http://www.chloeash.com Lily (@ChloeAsh)

105euros? That’s expensive! It does look really good on you, and from your description of the shade, it would suit me well. I don’t think we can get Omorovicza here, but seriously, the price!

    • Sunny

Yeah I know the price tag makes most people jump, but a) this contains 50ml, almost twice as much as most BB creams/foundations do b) it is free of silicone, so if you have silicone sensitivity it will make a great (if not the only) choice c) I have yet found a lotion/BB cream/foundation that keeps my skin the way it is all day. Not oilier and not drier. If it does the same for everyone I’m saying there is a good reason why it costs more!

  • http://www.valleydollbeautyblog.blogspot.com ValleyDoll

The price tags just scared me :d ! But looks really good on you !

    • Sunny

Yeah I know, but from my personal experience this one is pretty unique on the market, and it’s great for people whose skin can’t tolerate silicone or chemical sunscreen :)

  • http://www.beauty-reflections.com Tracy@Beauty Reflections

This sounds PERFECT for me and my daughter too! Silicone free too! Most of the BB creams out here are LOADED with them and if a BB cream is supposed to be good for your skin, how can it if it’s full of silicones I say? I will need to research how to get this one for sure! You look gorgeous as always Sunny!

    • Sunny

Yeah I know! I’m not allergic to silicone, but when I see a base product that lists silicone as the first ingredient I’m still a little dubious. I know that Sephora carries the brand, so maybe look there!

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

It looks really mousse-like, and looks like fun to put on, hahaha. I like that it appears to be silicone-free and only has physical sunscreens! I wonder if we could get this here in the US…

    • Sunny

Hey Larie, if I’m not mistaken Sephora carries the brand. I wonder if you could even find the testers in certain stores! Do check it out. The lack of chemical sunscreen is also a good thing. I know some people are allergic to that!

  • http://www.nailsandcupcakes.com Isabelle

Looks like a color that would suit me really well! Where would we find this one in Belgium? I’m always asking you for stockists, haha :)

    • Sunny

      LOL I’ll DM you ;)

  • http://mybeautysample.com/ Becca @ The Beauty Sample

YAY this looks great on you Sunny! I had heard that it was a bit light. so while I was curious I knew I wasn’t in any danger of splurging because I think it’s too light for my skin. But the possibility of new shades? Uh oh….:P

    • Sunny

Haha I am really hoping they’ll come up with a good range of shades, because if I could find one I’ll be wearing it MOST of the time!

  • http://mybeautyhoard.blogspot.sg/ Jacqueline

I was in love with my Diorsnow BB cream until it became too fair for me. As much as I like them I haven’t found one that matches my skin tone. I am happy to hear that you love this.

    • Sunny

I used my Dior Hydra Life BB Cream all the way till mid-autumn when it became a bit too dark for me. I’m relatively sure there isn’t so much left in the tube anyways! The formula of the Omorovicza one is VERY VERY special. I’m really keeping my fingers crossed for a perfect shade match!

  • http://www.phyrra.net Phyrra

    You look beautiful with it!

    • Sunny

Thanks so much Phyrra! It’s definitely more than enough for everyday purposes :)

  • http://mylucitedreams.com Taylor

This look delectable. The consistency appears so dreamy and it is undetectable, so natural. I would love to try this! A pity there is only one shade but if its a match its looks definitely worth trying, I have the cleansing balm on its way to me, I’m so excited to try it :-) gorgeous Sunny!

    • Sunny

Yeah you should definitely check it out to see if it matches your skin tone. They did something unimaginable with the formula! I love the balm as well. Keep me posted about how you like it!

  • Tori

It looks lovely on you. :) I had such high hopes for this one, since I can’t really use products with silicones in them, but this broke me out severely and painfully (deep, under-the-skin thingies). :( The colour and satiny-matte finish that mimics the look of real skin were very nice though. There is one more BB cream without silicone in it but it’s only available in Korea. Definitely going to check it out the next time I go. Fingers crossed!

    • Sunny

Ouch, I’m so sorry to hear about this, Tori! I hope that other one will work better for you! I actually also hope more companies will make silicone-free base products, but unfortunately silicone is everywhere nowadays.

Sunny – Omorovicza released a medium shade today! Isn’t that fantastic?

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I know!!! I read about it and I got super excited! It looks reasonable as well. A lot of BB creams have a very light shade and a very dark one. This one doesn’t look that way (phew)!

      • http://www.pinterest.com/bluereview Alison

It is exciting! Do let me know how it goes! I love the sound of Omorovicza’s BB Cream, and our skin tones are very similar – I’m like you if you were pale, so I have a feeling that if you match Medium, I’ll be able to wear that when I’m tanned!
