The Budapest-based skincare brand Omorovicza might be more known for their pot of black mud, but they also have several “SPF Enhancers” up their sleeve. The Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 claims to do it all (moisturizer, foundation, sunscreen, concealer, and anti-aging cream), and it is free of silicone (you can find the ingredient list below)! I’ve been using it for the past three weeks, and I’m ready to share my findings!
Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 comes in a glass bottle with a pump. The bottle contains 50ml and goes for 105 euros. The bottle is sturdy, and the pump works very well. I have no problem getting out the exact amount of product I need, and you can lock it by turning so it should be fine to travel with.
This is a whole pump of product, but rest assured you will not need a whole pump each time. It has some really fine ruby crystal that I didn’t even see till I was dotting it on my face standing under the light. However, once blended you really can’t see it anymore.
The texture of this BB cream is interesting. It’s thick so it takes a little more effort to rub it in, but it’s airy so it doesn’t feel like a thick layer on. I use my fingers to blend it in, since it works well enough that way (to be honest this is one of the reasons why I love this formula so much. I don’t always want to bust my foundation brush out or have to wash it afterwards). The finish is one of the amazing things about this, because it’s not matte or dewy. It basically just looks like skin. What’s better, it stays that way all day. I have combination skin with oilier T-zone, and if I use anything wrong my T-zone could get seriously oily. With this one however, my skin stays the way it looks and feels after my light cleansing in the morning. It doesn’t feel dry, but it is not “dewy” either.
This is how it looks blended in;
Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 has more coverage than a tinted moisturizer, but less than a medium-coverage foundation. It evens my skin tone out very well, makes it look nice and smooth, and covers small imperfections. My skin looks more than presentable with this, but some concealer might be necessary if I want to wear full-face makeup. If I wear it alone all day, the edges would look faded by the end of the day. If I set it with powder however, it’s not a problem. I can’t really evaluate the anti-aging benefit this BB cream claims to have, since it is not yet my concern.
Now, the only complaint I have about this one is the fact that there is only one shade, and it is too light for me. Omorovicza did nail the undertone though. I would say it is fairly neutral, since it doesn’t look as yellow as my natural undertone, but nor does it make me look pink. It is however, one to two shades too light for my NC 25-30 skin tone. If I set it with a compact foundation (like Becca Dream), it is passable. I am not too sure this will still work in summer, but for the moment it’s fine. A little bird did tell me Omorovicza is developing new shades, so I am keeping my fingers crossed about one of them turning out to be a great match. After all, how the formula works and the fact that it does not contain silicone make it a BB cream dream-come-true!
I have worn the combination of Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 and Becca Dream in the following pictures:
I do consider the combination photographing reasonably well and looking just fine in real life!
Here is the ingredient list if anyone needs it:
Bottom line: If you are around NC/NW 15-20 and are looking for a BB cream that doesn’t contain silicone, please take Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB SPF 20 into consideration. I love how my skin looks just like skin (not matte, not dewy) with this on, and it also seems freshly cleansed and conditioned all day (my T-zone doesn’t grease up, and my cheeks don’t feel dry). SPF 20 is more than enough if you mostly stay indoor, and the fact that it doesn’t contain silicone makes it many people’s dream-come-true. I will start praying for a perfect match in their new shades, because this is a BB cream I see myself wearing every day!
What do you wear on a daily basis? A tinted moisturizer? BB cream? Or foundation? Does Omorovicza Complexion Perfector BB 20 look like something that might work for you?
