Hey everyone! I am ridiculously excited about today’s post even though these babies aren’t exactly new. A while ago I laid my hands on my first a england nail polishes (Beauty Never Fails and the revamped Holy Grail. See them here). They ended up being some of my most-worn nail polishes in 2012 (despite the fact that I got them a couple of months before the year was over). I simply can’t get enough of them! I ordered Princess Sabra, Dragon, and Saint George around the holidays, and there’s no better time to share them with you because a england is having a sale!
All three of them came out with The Legend collection, which is filled with gorgeous holo polishes.
Princess Sabra doesn’t seem to be raved about as much as Dragon and Saint George, but I am so glad that I got this beautiful holo antique gold! The formula is really easy to work with, and two coats yield almost opaque coverage. Only if I look VERY closely can I tell there is a tiny hint of sheerness going on. It is my personal favorite out of the three because it’s an antique gold. Pretty predictable right?
Dragon seems to be an iconic shade that is very well-loved. This green beauty with an extremely holo effect reminds me strongly of a chameleon (I was going to say a dragon, but naturally I’ve never seen one). The consistency is a little thicker but still easy to work with. It is opaque with two coats, and I wouldn’t even try to describe how much more beautiful it is in real life!
Last but not least, we have Saint George. When I swatched all three of them side by side for the first time, Saint George was not my favorite because it has the weakest holo effect of the three. However, I learnt to really appreciate it when I wore it for the first time. While it is not as holographic, all the sparkle gleams from the bottom. It looks like an enchanted lake! The formula of this one is perfect. It is smooth and opaque with one coat, though if you want it to gleam more you’d need a second one. If I need an emergency manicure, Saint George is another shade I can grab!
Bottom line: I would highly recommend all three of them! If you like nail polishes at all, a england is a brand you have to put on your priority list. Princess Sabra, Dragon, and Saint George have achieved their cult status for a very good reason!
PS: Until January 15th a england is celebrating their second anniversary with a major promotion. You can get duos and trios at special prices, and all nail polishes go for 6 instead of 9 pounds. They ship for free all over the world (and believe me, they ship really really fast), so if you are tempted it is a good time to snatch some up!
Did any of these catch your eye? What are some of your favorite holo nail polishes?
