Chanel Spring 2013: Printemps Précieux de Chanel Sneak Peek & Quick Swatches!

Hey everyone! I’m not going to do too much talking today. Instead, I’ll let you enjoy the sneak peek and quick swatches of Chanel Printemps Précieux de Chanel! You’ll see looks and detailed reviews of these pieces soon, but for the moment feast your eyes on the delightful colors!

Here is the star of the show, Poudre Signée de Chanel Illuminating Powder (RRP in Belgium: 55 euros). Not only is the pattern stunning (that part is so self-evident), I was really impressed with how it swatched:

It is fine and soft without being powdery. Instead, it is positively creamy. The sheen is superbly delicate as well. I have a hunch we’re going to be best friends!

Here we have Captivante Rouge Allure (119), Fantasque Rouge Allure (112), and La Favorite Rouge Allure Velvet (43) (RRP in Belgium: 32 euros). My experience with Rouge Allure is positive (my first is Enjouée), and I have high expectations for both. My first Rouge Allure Velvet, L’Impatiente, has a rather unforgiving formula. However, I am happy to report La Favorite seems a lot more easygoing!

Here is how they swatch:

The collection comes with three Chanel Le Vernis, including Emprise (569)Accessoire (573), and Fracas (571) (RRP in Belgium: 23 euros).

I quickly swatched them for you here. The formulas of all three blew me away! They are all very smooth, streak-less, and almost good with just one coat!

Last but not least, check out Palissandre Precision Lip Definer (59) (RRP in Belgium: 22 euros) and Santal Long-Lasting Eyeliner (100) (RRP in Belgium: 23,50 euros).

I am still very surprised about how Palissandre looks (I would totally buy it if you told me it is an eyeliner), but Santal is definitely a shade I would reach for often enough. Can’t wait to find out how the formula works!

Here you see how Santal and Palissandre swatch:

What do you think? Is anything calling your name? If you live somewhere the collection is already available (it will be in Belgium on January 18th), have you already splurged on something? I would so love to check out Frivole Joues Contraste when it hits the stores!

Lovely swatches, Sunny! So glad you finally got your hands on that gorgeous highlighter!! :D

    • Sunny

Thanks Becca! I totally melted when I dipped my finger in the highlighter. I’m not going to pretend I wasn’t sad for ruining the pattern a little, but the powder is SO incredibly fine.

my lord Sunny xD I’m melting over here

    • Sunny

Haha I know what you mean ;)

    • Sunny

Hey Meryl, I’ll try my best!

Aaaah, finally a collection from Chanel that I do love :) . Especially that highlighter looks absolutely stunning but I do also love the look of the lipsticks and the nailpolishes!

    • Sunny

I know what you mean! It’s exciting at the first sight!

  • http://www.nailsandcupcakes.com Isabelle

So gorgeous! I love it! Sadly I won’t be purchasing anything, heading to London in two weeks & I have some other shopping to do there ;-)

    • Sunny

Haha well you’re saving for a good cause!

  • http://www.beautyloves.be BeautyLoves

I fell in love with the whole collection. Too bad my bank account doesn’t agree ;)
I adore Fracas, by the way, gorgeous colour, right up my alley!

    • Sunny

I know right??? This collection is amazing! I’m curious about how Fracas and Dior Plaza compare. I’ll do comparison swatches when I review it!

  • http://aucupariabrumalis.wordpress.com Claire

Chanel!!! Oh, I am so glad I picked up the nail polishes in fracas and emprise! I wa thinking about the blush and a lipstick, but I am still not sure. I really like the highlighter but I wouldn’z use it enough, sadly, but it is so beautiful.

    • Sunny

I am so totally going to check out Frivole when it’s in the stores! You don’t use highlighter as much?

      • http://aucupariabrumalis.wordpress.com Claire

I actually, liquid RBR and powder Shiseido ‘but’ the Chanel one, as pretty and adorable as it is, is too shimmery for me to use during the day. I am still considering it though, ah, too many pretty products, lol. frivole is really, really beautiful. a bit similar to my suqqu LE blush, just a bit more orange (which I actually like a lot). so hard to find an orange blush, that won’t turn muddy on me, and it isn’t too warm either. worth checking out! because it is very similar to suqqu, I try not to house dupes in my drawer, lol.

        • Sunny

Haha I know what you mean! Well for me the highlighter is very fine and subtle, but I guess it really depends. The MOST subtle highlighter I’ve tried is my Becca Opal Shimmering Skin Perfector. I’ll review it soon!

It’s like you and Becca are both nudging me out the door to get that highlighter!! I finally have a free day today to get my bum to a Chanel counter.

    • Sunny

Haha sorry Chris, but I can already tell you you will probably fall in love!

  • http://www.nymphette.be Marijke

The illuminating powder looks really pretty! The whole collection is so beautifull!

    • Sunny

It is SUPER pretty! This collection really wowed me!

  • http://http//redhotjillypeppers.com Redhotjillypeppers

The lipsticks & powder look really beautiful !

    • Sunny

Oh yeah I’m so glad La Favorite works so much better than my other Rouge Allure Velvet. Maybe it’s because the color isn’t as vampy!

  • http://www.unprofessionalbeautyblog.com Angela @ The Unprofessional Beauty Blog

These are awesome swatches. That powder looks absolutely gorgeous. And Fracas looks so pretty. I think I have a thing for pink polishes.

    • Sunny

I know what you mean! That powder: I die!

  • http://www.valleydollbeautyblog.blogspot.com ValleyDoll

I love Fracas ! I actually never tried a Chanel nailpolish before, must change that soon !

    • Sunny

Yup Fracas is really cheerful! I’ll try to compare it with similar shades in my existing stash ;)

  • http://www.inmyprettyshoes.be Dorien (Inmyprettyshoes)

    What a beautiful collection!
    I love the Fracas nailpolish..
The swatches are all so pigmented, wow!

    • Sunny

Hey Dorien, I agree! So far I’m really impressed with the performance!

  • http://mylucitedreams.com Taylor

Gorgeous collection! I am so excited to see all the looks!

    • Sunny

Thanks Taylor! I’ll try my best :)

  • http://followmarla.blogspot.com/ Marla

I love all those colors. That pale pink polish is gorgeous and I love the lipstick shades. So nice.

    • Sunny

Hey Marla, make sure you check this collection out! I was as impressed swatching the pieces as I was just looking at the promo images!

  • http://Fancieland.com Fancie

    Those lipsticks are so pretty!

    • Sunny

Yup I thought Fantasque would wash me out badly, but it turned out to be just fine! I’ll show you how they look soon!

  • http://eyemasq.wordpress.com/ Shannon @ Eyemasq

Fracas is such a stunning colour, I love it! And those nail lacquers look like a really great formula. When I hear that they are almost good with just one coat, that is always music to my ears!

    • Sunny

Haha I know what you mean! Most nail polishes are a bit streaky with one coat in my experience, but these are not your average nail polishes!

  • http://www.beauty-reflections.com Tracy@Beauty Reflections

The eyeliner!! That’s the only thing that’s catching my eye haha! Is there no blush in this collection?

    • Sunny

Haha yes there is! Frivole seems like a very pretty apricot, but I’ll have to wait till the collection actually hits the stores to see it.

  • http://icarias.blogspot.ca Icaria

Oh noooo! I want all the nail polishes & lipsticks! Love!

    • Sunny

      Yeah they’re all really amazing!

  • http://www.peggytimmermans.be/blog Peggy Timmermans Visagie

    Too pretty for my wallet!

    • Sunny

LOL yeah it’s unfortunate the best stuff usually costs a bit ;)

  • http://theconvenientbeauty.blogspot.com JoanneP

Lovely choices from the collection, especially the lipsticks!!!! Many probably will kill me for not really feeling the gorgeous highlighter. It’s pretty, yes. I just feel bored with one highlighter per collection right now :)

    • Sunny

Haha I think the highlighter is going to sell out very fast, but that doesn’t mean EVERYBODY has to like it! The lipsticks blow me away! I’ll show you how they look on me soon!

  • http://bronzerbunny.com Joyce (bronzerbunny)

i thought about getting santal and then ended up with a Jemma Kidd liner that is very similar in color, i think! I still am debating the beryl liner though!

    • Sunny

Apparently Beryl is great for brightening the lower waterline. If the formula stays put for you you should definitely try it on to see how you like it ;)

      • http://bronzerbunny.com Joyce (bronzerbunny)

i think the formula works for me… i haven’t had a stylo yeux since rose platine, and all the others i have are much older! anyway i’m so confused if i want it or not lol

        • Sunny

Haha go try it on so you can figure it out?

  • liyeun

Hi, Sunny! I’m a fan of yours and would read ur blog everyday. After long consideration, I think I wud wanna get a highlighter but I dont know which is nicer. Do you prefer this illuminating powder or the one from diorskin nude? Im so lost
    Lol.

    • Sunny

Hey Liyeun, thanks so much for reading my blog! I am so flattered!

If you haven’t got a lot of experience with highlighters, I think the Chanel one is a better bet. I would say the effect is more subtle overall, and it is not picky about the brushes you use with it. The Dior one is great too but it takes more practice. I hope it makes sense and I hope it helps!
