Besides Le Rouge (see swatches of the complete line-up here), Givenchy has other exciting releases this season. Today we are going to quickly look at the new Le Vernis and quad from their Hôtel Privé collection, Ecrin Privé.
Le Vernis (due out on the 23rd of January in Belgium. RRP: 21 euros) is Givenchy‘s new line of nail polishes. For the moment, the line includes a Top & Base Coat as well as 5 permanent shades. Every 6 months there will be two limited-edition colors, and for spring and summer these are what we are going to get:
The old Vernis Please contains 5ml, but these have a healthy 10. The caps can be taken off to make holding the brushes easier. And the best part? The brush!
See how it is short and tapered, rather similar to the Dior one? Exactly what I prefer!
The quad Ecrin Privé (RRP in Belgium: 65,50 euros) from the Hôtel Privé collection is another jewel I’d like to introduce to you today. The compact is covered with studs, and it is definitely made with metal because is really hefty.
The quad consists of three matte shade and one very sparkling one that is probably best layered. The matte shades are finely-milled, soft, and pigmented. The sparkling shade reminds me of Bobbi Brown Olive Sparkle. The best way to use this is dabbing it on with a finger, since it makes picking the product up easier as well as reducing fallout.
Here is the swatch:
The beige basically disappears on my skin tone, but it will make a good blending shade!
Did anything catch your eye? I have a hunch that Givenchy cosmetics is going to enter a new era!
