I am a bit ashamed to admit that all the way till very recently, I paid no attention to the hair dryer that I use. I probably didn’t pick the cheapest one around, but I certainly could not understand why there could be such a big price difference between different models. A while ago I got to try out the new Remington Keratin Therapy Flat Iron. While I don’t straighten my hair, I thought I could learn to curl it with a flat iron (all the tutorials make it seem so easy)! Unfortunately I have not mastered the trick, but since my old hair dryer was on its way out, I decided to buy Remington Keratin Therapy Hair Dryer to see if this fancy keratin therapy thing works!
The lesson I learnt? There IS a reason why some hairdryers cost more than 20 euros! Remington Keratin Therapy Hair Dryer is rather hefty and sturdy. The ring you see there is the keratin-infused nozzle that is supposed to transfer keratin to your hair during the styling process. As a result, the hair will be sleek and strong. The dryer comes with two concentrators and a diffuser. I don’t really use concentrators, but a diffuser is the minimal requirement for my post-perm hair, and I am happy it’s included!
See all the fancy buttons? There are three heat settings and two speed settings as well as the option of cold air. I can’t really tell if the keratin therapy really works this way, but I can vouch that hair-drying has become a lot faster and safer with this one. My cheaper old one overheated sometimes, so my hair would actually burn my ears. Even with the amount and length of hair I have, nowadays it takes less time for it to dry, and there has been no overheating incident at all! What’s more, my hair is indeed less rough and brittle afterwards. I think the fact that I get to control the heat and speed really contributes to it! All in all I have been very pleased with my purchase, and I hope it will hang in there for a couple of years!
The Remington Keratin Therapy Flat Iron is again very sleek and well-made. It comes with a pouch, so it will be easy if you want to travel with it.
It also comes with many different temperature settings, so it’s not just an on-and-off kind of flat iron.
As I have admitted, I still haven’t mastered the trick of curling my hair with a flat iron (how come it looks so easy from the tutorials?). However, the couple of times I tried, I was impressed with how fast this heats up. If you need a quick styling session in the morning, this is a good option.
Also, look at this travel pouch! I am compulsively neat, so I really appreciate how everything has its place in this pouch (there is even a strap for the cord)!
Bottom line: I don’t know if it’s the keratin therapy or something else, but Remington Keratin Therapy Hair Dryer has been very kind to my mane. Hair-drying is now much faster and safer, and my hair is a lot less brittle and rough after it’s done. It seems really sturdy, so I hope it will hang in there for a couple of years. From now on, I will never buy a random hairdryer again! While I haven’t been able to really test out Remington Keratin Therapy Flat Iron, it is well-made and heats up fast. If it’s anything like its hair dryer counterpart, it would definitely be an above-average flat iron as well!
Do you pay attention to the hair dryer/flat iron you buy, or do you use pretty much whatever you can find (I think the real question here is how many people would actually stick to a hairdryer till it’s on its last leg even though it overheats their hair and burns their ears)?
