Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid is More Than I Could Ask for!

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid review

I have to admit something. A lot of the times a product works fairly well for me while it possesses life-changing potential. My skin is pretty much just so. While I have seen several products visibly changing it for the better recently, many leave me feeling more neutral than anything else. Don’t get me wrong. They’re not bad. They are just not good enough for me to develop some kind of loyalty. Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid (RRP: 38,70 euros) was one of those when I got it almost three months ago. Over the three months however, I have gone from being mildly impressed to swearing by it!

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid packaging

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid comes in their standard tube packaging with a longer nozzle. According to Caudalie, it is a “correcting, perfecting and moisturizing fluid creates a radiant complexion instantly. Day after day, the skin is transformed: Dark spots are reduced, skin texture is refined and the complexion is beautifully even and radiant.” It is a lot of promises for a day cream to make, and somehow elusive at that. After three months however, I can tell you it does what it promises to!

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid texture

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid has a very thin consistency, and it is ever so slightly “tinted.” It also is ever-so-slightly light-reflecting, but once it is spread out you see neither the tint nor the light-reflecting particle. Like all Caudalie products, it has a very light and pleasant smell. I can’t really imagine anyone being being too bothered!

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid instructions

Now, let’s talk about my initial impression. I got this in the very beginning of November, and basically for a month and a half afterwards we were experiencing a very mild autumn/winter. I was basically pretty happy with my Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, and I just didn’t feel this made any difference. Sure, my skin was hydrated. Maybe it looked even a bit better than with the serum alone. And oh, the texture is very pleasant, but that’s it?

Then the temperature dropped, and I was suddenly aware of the fact that even though the wind felt like knife on my face, my skin was perfectly healthy, radiant, and hydrated with this day cream. Especially considering how incredibly light and non-greasy the texture is, Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid achieves an awful lot! For around three weeks we had below-zero weather, wind, and the whole lot, but it kept my skin in tip-top condition!

A couple of weeks ago I had a new chemical peel experiment gone wrong. By the time I was supposed to rinse it off, I saw to my horror that my forehead had turned into an angry shade of red. After rinsing it off, I could feel my skin was dehydrated and stripped. Not the ideal situation. I slathered on some face oil and moisturizer, but when I woke up in the morning my skin still wasn’t back to normal. I patted Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum in. Still dehydrated. Frustrated, I rubbed some of this in and distracted myself with making my morning coffee. 10 minutes later I walked past by the mirror again and couldn’t believe what I was seeing: my skin was back to normal! It was plump, smooth, hydrated, radiant, and soft. I definitely did a little happy dance! The episode took maybe one more day to be fully over, but it was when I knew this is something I would always go back to. I am not only convinced. I have been converted!

Did I mention it’s great under makeup as well? Again, I normally stick to Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum alone when I am going to put on foundation afterwards. In this weather I don’t mind having a little more help, and this is what I turn to. I like the fact that you can barely feel its existence, but it is there to keep your skin happy till the end of the day!

Here is the ingredient list:

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid ingredients

Bottom line: If you have combination/oily skin, and are interested in a day cream that will offer hydration and radiance, get Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid and get it now! I am beyond impressed with what it has done for my skin with such a light texture. If your skin is drier, consider Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Cream. I haven’t tried this myself, but I can imagine drier skin types being satisfied with it!

What is your go-to day cream? What do you use when your skincare experiments go wrong? Have you tried anything from the Caudalie Vinoperfect line?

It’s REALLY worth it! I tend to splurge on serums and save on creams, but this one is just too amazing not to repurchase!

This is a wonderful product. It’s so well at hydrating the skin but still feels light. I have really oily skin and this saves my day. It hydrates my face so well that I’m less oily when using this.

    • Sunny

I’m glad to hear you’re a fan too, Angela! It’s amazing so hydrating this cream is, isn’t it? It’s a total myth that a lightweight lotion can’t be hydrating!

Thanks Tracy! Sometimes I think I should stop being the Curious George that I am and stick to the skincare products I already know and love LOL

Even though I heard a lot, A LOT, of ravings about Caudalie, I always thought they were leaning on mostly drier skin types.. During this winter, for a oily skinned gal, I needed a hydrating/moisturizing serum for the first time. So I bought Vinosource SOS serum (thanks to your review!). As a complimentary gesture they offered me a basic facial care to introduce me to more Caudalie products. I read your reviews about other creams of Vinosource and Vinoperfect serum so I said why not! The applied Vinoperfect serum and Vinosource fluid (for combination skin) and I was more than impressed that I bought Vinosource fluid. This month after the paycheck I was planning to but Vinoperfect serum but now thanks to your new review I’m in between :S But thank you very much for introducing me to this brand. It helped a lot to my skin! Also I am planning to buy this cream to my mom too :)

    • Sunny

Awww you’re welcome! I’m so glad you have found some products that work for your skin! I remain a big fan of everything in the Vinosource range, and I can’t get enough of Vinoperfect! If you want to try ONE thing in the Vinoperfect range, make it the serum. I am convinced you will be SO impressed that you’ll go back for the rest!

I got a raise today (yaay!) so I am going to buy both serum and fluid :) And again thanks to your post, I bought REN’s orange mask (oh I can’t remember the name!) recently but I only used it twice, I hope I can see its profit soon!

        • Sunny

Yay for you, girl! I still really love my REN Glycolactic Radiance Renewal Mask. I don’t think I experienced a dramatic difference for the first several times, but at some point my skin became obviously more radiant afterwards. I hope it’ll happen to you soon! xx

This would be perfect for summer! These days I’ve been enjoying Vinexpert Riche since the weather has been so cold here. :)

    • Sunny

I agree! I can get away in summer with just the serum, but a little extra SPF never hurts anybody!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff sooooo much! I was SO skeptical when I first tried it and saw that it was slightly tinted, but it really melts into the skin and while it definitely does not contain enough pigment to really correct or do anything, I always feel like my complexion is ever-so-slightly perfected after using this stuff (maybe it’s in my head? :P). It also works really well with my oily skin, something Caudalie’s products are really good at. :D

    • Sunny

Yay one for team Caudalie! I also think my skin looks better somehow with this on, even though it really isn’t even a tinted moisturizer or anything. Definitely repurchase material!

  • http://memoiselle.com/ Meryl @ Memoiselle

Wow another great product from Caudalie! I know that feeling when you try a new product and everything goes wrong, it just makes me go crazy and panic. Glad this products helps to to solve all the problems ;)

    • Sunny

Thanks Meryl! I don’t often have experiments going so wrong (some stuff breaks me out, but that doesn’t happen within 10 minutes) so that was a bit of a shock! So glad Caudalie saved the day!

Hi Sunny! I *just* wrote a review of two Caudalie products. One of them was a moisturizer which I reeeally like! Even though from another line (their Premieres Vendanges line), the effects sound very similar to the ones that you describe. The cream is hydrating, not too greasy and gives me a really plump and radiant complexion despite the cold weather. The Vinoperfect Radiance Serum is the one other product I am really curious to try!! I will come back to read your review of it another time ^.^

    • Sunny

Hey Kareen, I’m glad you have ventured into Caudalie as well! If you could pick ONE product from the Vinoperfect line to try, I’d urge you to start with the serum. It’s that amazing!

  • http://procrastinatingpretty.blogspot.com Procrastinator

This is legitimately one of the best face products I have ever tried. I would willingly back this up even at our outrageous Canadian prices — THAT’S how much I love it!

    • Sunny

Aww yeah I don’t know why Caudalie is so much more expensive everywhere else! There are some UK-based webshops that carry the brand at an OK price, though the customs will probably make sure you pay the difference anyways :(

A very detailed review Sunny!! I see myself getting
Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid soon:)

Thanks, Fiona! I’m back on the combo of the Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid and the serum. They work WONDERS together!
