Some things require no pairing, and you would be hard-pressed to make it go wrong. Guerlain Ballade Rouge Automatique (600, limited edition. RRP in Belgium: 34,96 euros) is such a thing. This easygoing lipstick works so effortlessly well for warmer skin tones that I can see it becoming one of my go-tos!
Guerlain Ballade Rouge Automatique is a warm peachy pink with a bit of coral mixed in. It has a soft shimmery finish. I think different undertones will pull different colors out from this lipstick, because on my lips you can hardly see any coral! The formula is typical Rouge Automatique. It glides on easily but doesn’t slide off, doesn’t migrate, and it is very hydrating during the 5 hours I have it on.
Here is how Ballade looks swatched:
On my arm you do see coral and even rose, but it looks rather different on me. You have seen Ballade in both looks I did with Guerlain Coup de Foudre here:
I would say it is mostly a peachy pink, perhaps also somehow rosy, but my undertone seems to eat the coral up. I can’t say I am disappointed though. It is very soft and pretty anyways!
Bottom line: If you are still looking for a go-to lipstick this spring, take a good look at Guerlain Ballade Rouge Automatique. I am sure I have told you many times how great the formula is in general, and Ballade is a wonderfully soft, feminine, and go-everywhere color. Make sure you try it on and see how it looks on you!
I have officially showed you everything I have in Guerlain Cils D’Enfer now! Does anything stand out to you? I’d love to hear what you think! If you already bought something, what did you buy and do you like it?
