When I first saw Estee Lauder‘s nail polish offering for spring, Insatiable Pure Color Nail Lacquer, I thought it would no doubt be one of the pastels you see around this time of the year. Not being the biggest pastel person, I didn’t pay too much attention. The moment I took Insatiable (RRP in Belgium: 21,72 euros) out of the box however, I realized it’s much more delicious than a regular pastel!
Estee Lauder Pure Color Nail Lacquer comes in hefty and luxurious packaging. I normally don’t like too much chunk, but something about it reminds me of an ice cube and that comes with many positive associations (think summer cocktails and all that good stuff)! The brush is on the thinner side, so it takes a little longer to paint my nails but not by much.
Insatiable is a stormy and moody darkened lavender. It reminds me of a foreboding version of OPI’s Parlez-Vous OPI from years ago. The consistency is very easy to work with. The first coat leans a bit sheer, but with a second coat you can really see the depth of the color as well as getting opaque coverage.

As usual, I try to show nail polishes next to my face so you get an idea about the real effect:
I’m wearing Estee Lauder Pretty Naughty Five Color EyeShadow Palette and Rock Candy Sheer Matte Lipstick in these photos.
Bottom line: Estee Lauder Insatiable Pure Color Nail Lacquer offers a good twist of pastels that we usually see this season. The quality is excellent, and I think this shade will wear well in autumn and winter as well!
What’s your take on Estee Lauder Insatiable? Is it something you might wear?
