For this summer, Bobbi Brown envisions makeup that is “relaxed, easy, and gorgeous.” The Nude Beach collection is what summer beauty is all about for her, and the Tube Tints are part of the picture. Today I have Pink Cloud to share with you!
The packaging of Tube Tints reminds me of Lancôme Juicy Tubes. In other words, it radiates the easygoing girl-next-door charm.
Pink Cloud is a cotton candy pink with a glossy finish. It has a bit of a perfume-y scent but no taste. The formula is somehow tacky (much less so than MAC Lipglasses, for your reference), but surprisingly hydrating. In fact, it makes a really good lip balm! Because of the tackiness, it can last for a few hours on my lips. It’s not a gloss that will slide off with a drink or two!
Here is how Pink Cloud swatches:
Initially I thought it’d be one of those things that disappear on my lips, but the good thing is it does give them a visible tint.
One more photo with Pink Cloud on my lips:
I have one of the browbone shade in Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone on the inner half of my lids, Bobbi Brown Wheat on the outer half, and Bobbi Brown Sable in my outer v. I lined my eyes with Bobbi Brown Forest Shimmer Ink, and used Chanel Rose Initiale on my cheeks.
Bottom line: I wouldn’t say Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud Tube Tint is a must-have, but it does give the lips a visible tint. The formula is somehow tacky, but it hydrates really well. This is definitely something you can slick on fast without a mirror, and it’s your call whether you want to do it with or without that bikini!
Are/were you a fan of the Juicy Tube type of glosses? Does Pink Cloud speak to you? I’m eyeing the two Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks in the collection, Golden Bronze and Sunlight Gold!
