Bikini Is Optional with Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud Tube Tint

Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud FOTD

For this summer, Bobbi Brown envisions makeup that is “relaxed, easy, and gorgeous.” The Nude Beach collection is what summer beauty is all about for her, and the Tube Tints are part of the picture. Today I have Pink Cloud to share with you!

Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud Tube Tint

The packaging of Tube Tints reminds me of Lancôme Juicy Tubes. In other words, it radiates the easygoing girl-next-door charm.

Bobbi Brown Tube Tint packaging

Pink Cloud is a cotton candy pink with a glossy finish. It has a bit of a perfume-y scent but no taste. The formula is somehow tacky (much less so than MAC Lipglasses, for your reference), but surprisingly hydrating. In fact, it makes a really good lip balm! Because of the tackiness, it can last for a few hours on my lips. It’s not a gloss that will slide off with a drink or two!

Here is how Pink Cloud swatches:

Initially I thought it’d be one of those things that disappear on my lips, but the good thing is it does give them a visible tint.

One more photo with Pink Cloud on my lips:

Bobbi Brown Forest Shimmer Ink FOTD

I have one of the browbone shade in Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone on the inner half of my lids, Bobbi Brown Wheat on the outer half, and Bobbi Brown Sable in my outer v. I lined my eyes with Bobbi Brown Forest Shimmer Ink, and used Chanel Rose Initiale on my cheeks.

Bottom line: I wouldn’t say Bobbi Brown Pink Cloud Tube Tint is a must-have, but it does give the lips a visible tint. The formula is somehow tacky, but it hydrates really well. This is definitely something you can slick on fast without a mirror, and it’s your call whether you want to do it with or without that bikini!

Are/were you a fan of the Juicy Tube type of glosses? Does Pink Cloud speak to you? I’m eyeing the two Long-Wear Cream Shadow Sticks in the collection, Golden Bronze and Sunlight Gold!

it really is kinda girl-next-door :)

    • Sunny

Yeah. Nothing too surprising but sometimes it’s good!

  • http://www.bellachique.be Teri

Such a fun shade! I haver the lighter version, glad to hear about the hydrating part, that is always a plus! Loooove the last pic of you! ^^

    • Sunny

Aww thanks, Teri! Can’t wait to hear what you think about the formula!

  • http://memoiselle.com/ Meryl @ Memoiselle

I used to have few tubes of Lancome Juicy tubes but after a while I realize that I prefer lipgloss with stick packaging. It helps me to apply the shades more evenly. Nonetheless pink cloud looks pretty for layering xx :)

    • Sunny

Hey Meryl, this one is no trouble at all going on, but I know what you mean. If it’s milky it’ll probably look patchy (so glad it’s not though. I am not a fan of milky glosses at all)!

  • http://wade-ashore.blogspot.com Caise

oh such a lovely pink! I don’t like tubes so I’ll skip this one:)

    • Sunny

Hey Daria, I know what you mean. This is my first “tube” in a very long time ;)

  • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/blog Catherine @ bcrueltyfree

Pretty and natural, though like you said – more color than I expected from it! Definitely has some pigmentation

    • Sunny

Hey Catherine, I totally didn’t expect it to show up but it does! I think I’ll use it as a lip balm. The formula is surprisingly moisturizing!

  • http://nails.blogmesin.com Rabbit

Pink Cloud looks really nice on your lips. I like Juicy Tube type of gloss.

    • Sunny

Hey Rabbit, if Juicy Tube is your thing you should look at these Tube Tints! They really remind me of those :)

  • http://beautyreflectionsblog.com Tracy@Beauty Reflections

It’s pretty! But you’d think they would have put some SPF in it since it’s called Nude Beach Collection. At least SPF 15, ya’ know?

    • Sunny

Hey Tracy, actually that would be a great idea! I don’t normally think about SPF for my lips (I probably should), but it’d be a great touch for such a collection indeed!

  • http://icarias.blogspot.ca Icaria

Ooooh I like this! Just enough color for me! :)

    • Sunny

Hey Helene, glad to hear this is right up your alley!

  • http://mylucitedreams.com Taylor

I love a cute tube of gloss. This is a very pretty shade and the color is just subtle enough.

    • Sunny

Hey Taylor, I think this is my first tube in a long time! It does have a certain easygoing charm, but I am more used to the whole doe-foot applicator deal ;)

  • http://www.bakingbeauty.net Krystle(Baking Beauty)

I love throwing tubes like these into my bag. I find the sheerness makes them easier to apply on to go because it doesn’t matter if I go outside the lines a bit!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Krystle, that’s true! Even without a mirror you can’t really make a mistake with this!

  • http://papayapieces.wordpress.com/2013/05/13/maroilles-cheese-for-breakfast/ Sofia

When its really summer time (still a long way to go as the weather is still quite yucky here,… I suppose better than in Belgium though ;) I tend to wear less makeup and look for a hydrating lip balmy thing. I’ll have to check this out, and the few other colours, because the big must for me is that they must be moisturizing. According to your review, it seems to be so. This colour is cute on you by the way!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Sofia, actually we had some nice days and now it’s back to being a bit gray and not too warm ;) Pink Cloud sounds like something you’re looking for in that case! I hope you’ll give it a try :)

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

Hey Sunny, I love Bobbi Brown but tend to ignore softer pink glosses no matter the brand. Love the beach collection in general though! :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Haha yeah the combination of sheer and gloss isn’t my personal favorite either, even though I can see there is a market for it :)

  • http://eyeheartit.blogspot.com Larie

Tacky is a no-no for me! But hydrating is good. I sometimes like these sheer, hard-to-mess-up shades for tossing on and completing a more dramatic look, or for casual wear and hydration. I don’t think I’d opt for this one, though! Probably one of the tamer Dior glosses ;)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Larie, I’m prepared to deal with tackiness if it lasts well, and this is definitely not the tackiest formula I have tried! But yes, Dior also sounds like a good idea ;)

  • http://twitter.com/jennlovesbeauty Lifeandlensofbeauty

Lovely pink! I’m also eyeing the shadow sticks as I”m a huge fan of them when I reviewed a few of them before! I was secretly hoping they would be a dupe for Laura Mercier Sandglow and Amethyst caviar sticks so I don’t need to burn a hole in the wallet!
:D I just got Chanel Moon River – this thing doesn’t budge once set!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Jenni, that would be nice indeed!

I am also very impressed by the staying power of Chanel Stylo Eyeshadows. Not many formulas stay on me without a primer!

  • ValleyDoll

The packaging looks cute ! It doesn’t really sound like a must-have, since it’s just a sheer color.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Hey Eva, my point exactly!
