After some of my favorite bloggers raved about PIXI Endless Silky Eye Pens (hey Kate! Hi Emi!), my curiosity got the better of me. I grabbed Sage Gold from ASOS when it was on sale, and as luck would have it, received some PIXI samples soon afterwards. Today I’ll show you PIXI Sage Gold Endless Silky Eye Pen, Straight on till Morning Liner, and Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster!
The two samples I received (Straight on till Morning Liner and Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster) are from the Tinkerbell collection. I have been a fan of her ever since I was a little kid, because she is one of the rare Disney “good” characters that display negative emotions honestly. I mean, why smile an pretend everything is fine when you can flip out and storm out (that’s a joke)?
It is no secret that khaki is one of my favorite shades, so the greedy hoarder in me is so happy to end up with both PIXI Sage Gold Endless Silky Eye Pen and Straight on till Morning Liner. As you will see however, you probably don’t need both!

PIXI eyeliners have a special gel formula. They promise to be long-lasting, waterproof, and easy to glide on. Both pencils are extremely soft, and they glide onto the skin like air. It takes them about 20 seconds to completely dry down, but once they dry they’re there for good! They can be easily removed with a micellar water, so there won’t be a bloody battle before bedtime! A small tip: if you want to go over the same line again, do wait for it to dry down first. Otherwise, you could end up scraping some product away!
I would go as far as to saying this is probably my favorite pencil formula to date. I have tried some very creamy pencils that last well. However, most smudge on the outer corners after 8-9 hours, and they aren’t as lightweight. Once these two dry down, they have a very glossy, sparkling finish that I haven’t really seen anywhere else!
Here is a closeup of Sage Gold and Straight on till Morning. As big of a fan as I am of gold/khaki shades, you can probably see why I said you don’t need both!
Here is how they swatch, both one pass and built up:
I would say Straight on till Morning has more (and bigger) sparkling gold particle, but I have worn one on each eye and the difference is minimal. Sadly they aren’t perfect for waterline. I am not sure if it’s the shimmer in them, but my eyes get a little irritated. Do take it with a pinch of salt however, as I haven’t encountered one single product that stays put on my waterline without triggering some sort of reaction!
Also, for the khaki gold eyeliner enthusiasts, here is a comparison swatch of PIXI Sage Gold, Straight on till Morning Liner, and Urban Decay Stash:
The PIXI ones contain more sparkle, and they have a glossy finish that you don’t see in Stash. Even if you own Stash already, I don’t think getting either would be redundant!
PIXI Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster is a loose eyeshadow/pigment packed in a more user-friendly and fuss-free packaging. You can use it anywhere you want some sparkle, for example the inner corners of your eyes.
The idea of the packaging is great. Even if you are afraid of loose pigment, you should be able to navigate with no problem. However, I find that the applicator is a little too big for my inner corners (but then again my eyes are not big, so this is not necessarily a problem everyone will have). Also, it picks up a little too much product. I would suggest you tap off the excess to avoid fallout, but it wastes some product in the process, and you’ll end up with some “fairy dust” on your vanity.
Here is how Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster swatches. It is a little too sheer to be a good lid shade when it is blended out, which is also a pity because it is less versatile that way.
For the look, I used Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster in the inner corners and one liner on each eye on my bottom lash line (you really can’t tell):
For the rest of my eyes, I have Bobbi Brown Forest Shimmer Ink on my upper lash line, Rouge Bunny Rouge Embrace of Cashmere Loose Glitter Pigment on the inner half of my lids (it will be reviewed soon. The packaging is similar to Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster, but it is executed better), and Bobbi Brown Wheat on the outer half of my lids. I used Illmasqua Katie/Ambition Powder Blusher Duo on my cheeks, and NARS Montego Bay Pure Matte Lipstick on my lips (review for both coming up soon).
I have also used both liners here for this look:
Bottom line: I would highly recommend PIXI Sage Gold Endless Silky Eye Pen and Straight on till Morning Liner to anyone who likes a good eyeliner. They glide on like air, deposit a generous amount of pigment, dry down to last all day with no smudging. There are 10 shades in total, just in case golden khaki isn’t your thing! Fairy Dust Moonlight Luster on the other hand, has some room for improvement. I wish the applicator were be easier to use, and the shade were more opaque when it is blended out!
Have you tried anything from PIXI? Is there anything else you would recommend?
