My Summer Mix Look with Dior Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme!

Dior Bikini cream blush FOTD

I am very tempted to cut through my usual rambling and write the bottom line part right here. It’ll be something like this: I am thoroughly obsessed with Dior Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme (RRP in Belgium: 33,02 euros), and I can’t wait to check out the rest of the Summer Mix collection! However, I understand you might need a little more than that, so here we go!

Dior Diorblush Cheek Creme packaging

Diorblush Cheek Creme comes in a plastic pot. In fact, if I were to change on thing about this product, I would choose glass instead. However, the packaging doesn’t seem flimsy at all! It contains 7 grams/0.24 oz of product, which is very generous compared with most cream blushes on the market.

EDIT 09/06/13: I am really sorry, but after tapping the pot against a glass, I think the pot is made of glass after all!

On me, Bikini is a coral red with some teeny tiny light-reflecting particle that you don’t see swatched/on the face. It is much bolder than average in my stash, and I cannot stress this enough: the quality is magnificent! It has an extremely lightweight, somehow cream-to-powder type of finish. It isn’t greasy or sticky at all. At the same time, it is not powdery-looking.  The texture is a bit bouncy, but I wouldn’t call it a mousse. I would describe it as a denser, more solid version of Chanel Illusion d’Ombre.

Bikini packs an amazing amount of pigment in a very lightweight formula. It blends so easily that there is virtually not possible to make a mistake with this. It will never look patchy or streaky. You can really sheer it out for a tiny bit of color, but you can also build it up. The finish is incredibly luminous, smooth, and healthy-looking! It lasts well as well. I don’t see visible fading till after the 8th hour, but it will take much longer for the blush to more or less disappear.

I would recommend Dior Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme to just about everyone because it seems to strike a balance in many aspects. You can sheer it out or play it up depending on how comfortable you are sporting strong blush. It lasts well, but in case you ever need to touch up (say you’ve been walking around for hours in humidity and heat), it’s much easier than carrying a powder blush and a brush or a very creamy cream blush (I am always worried it’d melt). Cream products work well for those with drier skin, but the formula of Diorblush Cheek Creme is not heavy or greasy, so even those with oilier skin can probably use this with ease!

Here you see Dior Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme in action. I used Dior Diablotine Addict Gloss on my lips.

Dior suggests pairing Bikini with Créoles Vernis. I pulled Dior Plaza Vernis out of my stash because it seems to be in a similar vein. I’m holding the 20ml bottle of Dior Addict Eau Délice so you can see how adorable the little bottle is!

Who is game for mixing things up with Dior this summer (God help me, I might pick up more of these Cheek Cremes and perhaps even a couple of Vernis…)?

I am totally sold. I need all four colours. LOL!

Haha yeah, I’m slowly coming to the same conclusion… So ominous for my wallet!

  • http://twitter.com/Icarias1 Icaria

I must try at leas one! So gorgeous I also can’t wait to see the nail polishes. :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I agree, Helene! It’s such an interesting texture that performs so well!

      • Dominique33

I agree but in fact a very small amount is needed, otherwise it becomes a bit dry. I finally purchased Capri and Bikini, lovely colours ( I love them both ) and yes it’s a glass pot :) classy I think !

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dominique, I have never noticed that! Maybe my skin is less dry to begin with? So sorry about the plastic/glass confusion. I ended up clinking it against a glass and realized it sounds like glass haha

Glad to hear you love them both! I’m thinking about Panama! Came SO close to purchasing it this week, but it was out of stock already so I have to look somewhere else!

  • beauties

beautiful :D the make-up, the perfume, the clothes…

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Aww thanks, Eva!

  • Chris El

    Must have!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I agree, Chris! Check them out! I think you guys get them sooner :)

  • http://www.beautyloves.be/ BeautyLoves

It’s gorgeous! I might however go for the nail varnishes, they’re pretty as well!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Oh Gosh, I am so torn about the nail polishes. On the one hand all those bright colors are SO perfect for summer, but on the other I don’t even paint my nails often! Decisions decisions…

  • Marijke

    It looks so pretty!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

It really is! Makes my heart sing a little :)

  • http://kissandmakeupsbeautyblog.wordpress.com/ Kiss & Make-up

I am so in love with it! Such a gorgeous reddish pink. I wonder when it will launch here…

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Melissa, I hope it won’t take too long for you! Is Switzerland usually behind Belgium in terms of new releases?

      • http://kissandmakeupsbeautyblog.wordpress.com/ Kiss & Make-up

It depends. Some collections launch earlier here and others we have to wait for. I’m nor sure how it is with Dior. Guess I’ll visit Globus this weekend and bug the lady at the Dior counter about it!

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

LOL you go riiiight ahead, Melissa!

  • Dominique33

I agree, glass would be more classy. However it looks gorgeous ! I’ll pick up one :) which one I still don’t know.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I might go for Panama, but then again I have enough similar shades. Perhaps I should check out the fuchsia (Pareo) instead!

      • Dominique33

I fear all 4 are worth the splurge :) I’ll have to wait until the 17th and really think it over !

  • ValleyDoll

Ooh now I want it ! Too bad it’s not glass but it still looks very classy !

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Eva, it is very classy! I really like the cap!

  • http://redhotjillypeppers.com/ Redhotjillypeppers

The colour is very pretty ! Shame about the plastic packaging though.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Jill, I’m not too fussed personally. The packaging still has some heft and seems rather solid!

  • http://MyLuciteDreams.com/ MyLuciteDreams

This is really beautiful. The color suits you perfectly. I’m surprised that the pot isn’t glass, that’s too bad. Well the texture does sound like a dream!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Taylor! I’m willing to look the other way because what’s inside is fantastic, and the packaging doesn’t feel flimsy in any case!

  • wheetnee

Creme blushes are so in now, I can’t decide which one to get >.< I saw these at Sephora the other day and wasn't sure if I should invest in the dior one or not. The colour looks great and natural on you! :) I'm deciding between the Dior one or Josie Maran Coconut Watercolor Cheek Gelee now!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Whitney, you should reaaaallly try a Dior one! There is nothing about this product that stops me from recommending it to everyone! I also think the price is good for 7 grams! With the amount of pigment it packs, it will really last a long time!

  • Krystle Kouture

So beautiful when it blends out! Glad to hear its not greasy either. I’ve that problem with way too many cream products. Glad to see dior got this one right!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Krystle, this is not greasy at all in texture. In fact, the interesting thing is the first two ingredients are mica and talc, so it’s essentially a powder product with more emollient! It has definitely worked out well though!

  • http://midwestglam.com/ MidwestGlam

Ohhh geez, I NEED these blushes in my life! Stunning. It looks fantastic on you! -S

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thanks! You really need to check these out. I love everything about Bikini!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

Wait-FOUR COLOURS? Oh gawd, I’m in TROUBLE Sunny!! This looks so lovely on you!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Tracy, YES, FOUR COLORS! 3 of them are pretty bright from what I can see!

  • http://makeupmorsels.wordpress.com Makeup Morsels

LOL glad you did not cut straight to the point. I need my daily dose of Sunny rambling! The packaging of gorgeous of course, but that color! Ughh I love. Did I mention that I’ve started wearing blush? This is very not good for my wallet.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Haha thanks so much, MM!

I started wearing blush way late. It’s probably because I naturally have a bit of color on my cheeks, so I didn’t feel the need to make up for anything. Now I’m REALLY getting into it though, and it can’t be good for my wallet, either!

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

I am so dead when these hit the floors here. DEAD DEAD DEAD.

    Love your flamingo top!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww well I hope you’ll like them!

It’s yet another dress! I got it online. Not terribly in love with the material and it’s a bit too short compared with what I usually wear *sniffs*

  • VickyM

Ok I´m convinced I need this blush or another color from the same line, I love cream blushes, and even though Mac Dollymix is my go to blush right now, I just find cream blushes so much easier to use, since they can be applied in a much effortless way. I love how fresh and natural this looks on you, I love the quality of Dior, I really need to go have a look at this blushes :) .

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Vicky, I really hope you’ll like them! I am personally a big fan, and it’d be great if more people could find their new favorite blushes in the line-up ;)

  • Jacqueline Ma

I told myself I was going to stay away from these Sunny. Now that I read your review, it is going to make me want them. I have a weakness for cream and liquid blushes. Oh no!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww sorry, Jacqueline! I do love this one a lot, so I hope you’ll like the line when you get to check it out!

      • Jacqueline Ma

Did you see that Chanel cream blushes my dear, they look so good. Now I’m torn.

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Jacqueline, I think it’ll take a while for those to be available here. I’m already eyeing at least two shades haha

  • Sarah P

Looooove this. Fantastic post. Now I really want one.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Sarah! You really have to check these out!

  • http://www.bellachique.be/ Teri

Uh, is your blush in a plastic jar? That is so weird because mine is from glass, I just double checked with the bf, lol. I really love the shade, it might be a bit too red for summer for me now but it’s still a great shade!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Huh interesting. I double-checked with mine and we think it’s plastic?

On me it’s fine. Doesn’t really look red on and I wouldn’t tie it to a season to be honest ;)
