What scents do you wear in summer? When even the thought of spritzing my beloved Dior Miss Dior and Chanel Coco Mademoiselle becomes intolerable in the heat, I reach for the lighter, fresher, and simpler fragrances in my stash.
Acqua di Parma Mirto di Panarea reminds me of a walk on the beach, Jo Malone Osmanthus Blossom a picnic in the park, and Dior Addict Eau Sensuelle a dinner date somewhere tropical! The bottle all wrapped up in a feather cape? That’s Givenchy Auge ou Démon Le Secret. The limited edition bottle this year features a glamorous feather cape!
The feather cape doesn’t really hold together without some help (you can glue it together if you wish), but isn’t it glam? The inside of the box says it can be worn as a bracelet, but I have a better idea…
How about dolling a kitty up?
This is only possible when they’re asleep, mind you. Mine have already made a joint attempt to steal it and kill it (they were caught before any damage could be done though)!
The scent? White floral with some citrus and tea to lighten it up. If you are a fan of frangipani, you’re in luck. There is a generous dose of it in this one!
I had to put “summer” in parentheses in the title because Dr. D doesn’t seem to rotate his perfumes according to the weather. He has been very faithful to Dior Homme for a while now. I am all for a good classic, but when it comes to Dior Homme, I personally like the “sport” version a lot more. This is rare, as I normally resist scents that are labeled as “sport,” but the more prominent iris note in that one won me over!
Givenchy Gentlemen Only is a scent that we both went gaga for the second we smelled it. The modern homage to Givenchy‘s classic Gentleman is honestly irresistible. I’m not sure what it is about this one (it might be vetiver. I am a real sucker for that). I am very neutral about most male scents (unless they decide to overdose on citrus and end up smelling like giant walking cleaning products), but here is something that I just want to sniff and sniff! It is very classic, but not in a “my dad wears this” way. All I can say is, ladies, force-spritz this on your man next time you are near a tester and enjoy!
Fendi Fan di Fendi Pour Homme is another swoon-worthy one that’s spicy, woody, and the geranium, the geranium! This summer Fendi launched Fendi Fan di Fendi Pour Homme Acqua with sea notes, lavender, and cardamon. I’d totally hang out with a guy who is wearing this by the pool (hopefully in Italy too)!
How about you? What are your go-to summer fragrances? Are you a fan of any scent your guy wears?
