Hey everyone, sorry for the silence around here! Long story short, I got back from Taipei and was immediately slammed with work. I’ve also had to figure my new camera out, and that’s a bit of a learning process. Anyways, I hope to go back to my normal posting frequency soon!
Before Chanel Collection Superstition will finally become available here (I heard mid-August), we’re getting Chanel Collection Rouge Allure Moiré (already in store). Let’s take a quick look at three of the Rouge Allures (RRP in Belgium: 32 euros), a Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss (32 euros), and the two Le Vernis (23 euros)!
What sets this batch of Rouge Allures apart is the fine shimmer in them. According to Chanel, the shimmer is supposed to be subtle while creating a brightening effect. From left to right you see Indécise (125, a rosy beige), Farouche (122, a rich chocolate), and Énigmatique (135, a brown-tinted red).
Here you see Controversy Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss (72, a vampy eggplant). If you like vampy, this one has definitely got you covered!
Swatches from left to right: Indécise, Énigmatique, Farouche, and Controversy
You can maybe spot that while the Rouge Allures are not obviously shimmery (it is very hard to spot the shimmer even close-up), they do reflect light in an interesting way to give them a “texture.”
Last but not least, the two limited edition Le Vernis, Rouge Moiré (595) and Rose Moiré (593):
I need some more time to test all of them out, but you will hear all about how they work soon! I actually took a quick look at the collection the other day and fell in love with one of the limited edition Rouge Allures, Audacieuse (134, a pink-based red). Among other shades, there is also a great bright pink, Surprenante (129), and a coral/apricot, Étonnante (131). Whether you’re looking for something you can rock all around town right now or something that fits a more autumn-y mood, you can probably find it here!
Did you see anything you like here? Which shade(s) would you like to see first? Leave me a comment and I’ll see what I can do!
