When I showed you a sneak peek of the Chanel Rouge Allure Moiré Collection a few days ago, many of you expressed a keen interest in the two Le Vernis, Rose Moiré and Rouge Moiré. Here come the swatches!
Rose Moiré (593) is a very interesting color. My best description is a metallic pinky/lilac beige. The formula is easy to work with, and it’s fully opaque with two coats. I think it’s a shade that looks particularly good on tanned skin!
The only thing I’m not so sure about Rose Moiré is the fact that it suffers from the same streaky problem as many metallic nail polishes. I would say the streaks look much more prominent in the swatch photo than in real life, but there’s no way around it: they’re there.
I personally don’t own anything similar to Rose Moiré. Does it remind you of another shade?
Rouge Moiré is a shimmery ruby red. Again, the formula has a consistency that’s easy to work with, and 2 coats would make it opaque. You do still see light brushstrokes with this one, but definitely not as prominent!
Now that you have seen how they swatch, would you pick up any? Where do you stand on metallic nail polishes? Yay or nay? I wouldn’t say it’s my favorite finish, but that’s just me!
