Remember khaki green is the main color theme of Dior Golden Jungle from autumn 2012? Well, it’s back with some interesting companions in Dior Bonne Étoile 5 Couleurs! What will happen when you throw a grassy green, a darker blue, and a metallic pewter into the mix? Let’s find out!
Dior Bonne Étoile 5 Couleurs come with beautiful embossed star pattern. The great news? The pattern won’t go anywhere till you have got some serious use out of the palette!
Bonne Étoile is composed of a khaki green with gold and copper shimmer, a very metallic silver pewter, a rich brown with a subtle olive undertone, a metallic mid-to-dark-toned blue, and a satiny yellowy green.
All the shades are very pigmented and smooth (takes a little layering for the yellowy green to achieve opacity on the lid). The fallout, if I could go so far as to saying there is any (from the two metallic shades), is minimal. All in all, this is an easy palette to work with, and imagine all the possibilities you can get out of such an unusual combination!
For the look, I tried to incorporate all five shades. I used the yellowy green for the inner half, the khaki green on the outer half, the brown in the outer v, the silvery pewter in my inner corners, and the blue on my lower lash line.
What I personally really like about Bonne Étoile is the fact you can do so many different things with it. You can easily do more intense looks with the khaki and the blue all over the lid, or something more neutral if you take the yellowy green and blue out of the equation. If you want to invest in a piece of makeup, why not do it with a versatile one?
Bottom line: If the colors speak to you, Dior Bonne Étoile 5 Couleurs is a palette I would recommend. It is easy to work with, and it allows you to create many types of looks!
Is Bonne Étoile something you might wear?
