Guerlain always has an element of surprise that keeps the brand interesting. Take their new duos, Ecrin 2 Couleurs for example. From the color pairing to texture, they’re unlikely to be something you have seen before! Take Two Spicy for example: a sparkling orangey-copper and a satin dark brown. Unexpected!
Guerlain Ecrin 2 Couleurs comes in a shiny golden compact and a soft, velvety pouch. It contains 4 grams (0.14 oz) of product.
Two Spicy (08. RRP in Belgium: 42,50 euros) contains a sparkling orangey-copper and a satin dark brown with a taupe/dirty olive undertone. The sparkling orangey-copper has an interesting squishy texture. If you try to use a brush to apply, you will most probably end up with fallout everywhere. The best way is to use your finger. It’s really easy to pick the color up that way, and it will result in next to no fallout! Also, once it’s on, you won’t have subsequent fallout throughout the day. The dark brown is amazingly silky, pigmented, and easy to blend. Nothing to nitpick about this one!
Here is how the duo swatches:
When I saw the duo, I immediately knew how I would wear it: with the dark brown all over my lid and the orangey-copper in the center and my inner corners.
You know what else this duo would be good for? Say you’re wearing something work-friendly during daytime but are going out for the night, just pack this duo in your bag. You can easily add the sparkle to the inner half of the lid and the brown to the outer half/crease with your pinky: and you’re ready to dazzle!
Bottom line: Guerlain Two Spicy Ecrin 2 Couleurs has great quality and interesting textures to play with. It might not be something most would wear during daytime, but it’s great for play! If you want a fuss-free way to wear a lot of sparkle, or something that can easily transform a day look into a night one, take a look at Two Spicy!
Is Two Spicy something you would wear? What would you use to transform a day look into a night one?
