It’s date night. Which lipstick would you reach for? If you’re out of ideas, why not take a look at one of Chanel‘s new limited edition Rouge Coco Shines in Rendez-vous?
I never thought I’d become a fan of Chanel Rouge Coco Shines until very recently (until I tried Suspense, to be precise). Rendez-vous (87. RRP in Belgium: 31 euros) is not a bold shade, but for many reasons, it has also won my heart!
Rendez-vous swatched (on the right):
Rendez-vous is a somehow blue-based pink. It has enough brightness to be fun, but at the same time it’s a shade that you can wear comfortably if you don’t want all eyes on you. It has the same rosy smell as Rouge Cocos, which I personally like. The weightless and smooth formula of Rendez-vous melts onto the lips like butter, leaving opaque coverage in one go. It wears well for 4 hours. It wouldn’t completely disappear after a meal, but it’s a good idea to reapply. I know it works differently for different people, but for me the Rouge Coco Shines keep the hydrating promise! It’s a lipstick I can wear all day comfortably.
Here is how Rendez-vous looks on me:
Bottom line: Chanel Rendez-vous Rouge Coco Shine is a shamelessly girly shade with a good formula. It is soft, smooth, lightweight, and hydrating. On top of that, it packs quite a bit of pigment and wears well! Give it a quick swatch when you have the chance: you might just fall in love!
Random: I got some geeky new glasses! I used to think there is little point combining makeup and glasses, but I’m turning around. There is not much I’d do differently for my makeup to work with glasses, except for maybe making my brows as full as they can reasonably be!
Your turn: is Rendez-vous something you’r like to wear? Do you wear makeup with glasses?
