If you don’t live in Brussels or Antwerp, getting certain brands here implies a trip to the more specialized stores. So what if you get this urge to buy some new makeup on Sunday (for those of you who don’t know, shops are closed here on Sunday with very few exceptions), or if Monday is kicking your as* so hard that you need a quick pick-me-up during lunch break? Check out the Parfuma webshop!
Bobbi Brown and Giorgio Armani don’t have many retail points at all in Belgium, so I really appreciate the fact that it is possible to lay my hands on them with a few clicks. I made my order on Sunday, and I received an email with the tracking number on Monday. On Tuesday morning, the postman dropped the parcel off when I was still bleary-eyed! Now that’s fast as lightening! Orders above 50 euros are eligible for free shipping in Belgium (pick two items and you’re about set), and they ship all over Europe. I don’t know about you, but free shipping always gives me a little “hurrah!” moment.
Don’t worry about missing out on the samples, either. With each other you are entitled to three samples, and you can leave a message at checkout if you want anything specific. I put “a mascara sample would be much appreciated,” and I ended up with a Shiseido mascara sample as well as two perfume vials!
Want a sneak peek of my little haul before I get the time to test them out properly?
This is Bobbi Brown Plum Blush (5. 28 euros). I’ve been trying to get out of my comfort zone. What’s more, this plummy pink looks perfect for autumn!
When I reviewed Giorgio Armani Scarlatto Rouge Ecstasy, I mentioned that I wanted Diva (503. 34,70 euros) as well. Well, here it is!
I’d say Diva is brighter than Scarlatto. If this reminds you of Dior Darling Rouge Dior, I can already tell you they aren’t dupes at all, but more to come later!
When I first arrived in Belgium (5 years ago now!), I was a bit shocked to find out online shopping was virtually non-existent. I’m glad that so much has changed since then. Of course nothing can replace swatching something or trying it on in real life, but when that is not possible, webshops like Parfuma are the next best thing!
Do you shop online often? If so, what are some of your favorite online shopping destinations?
