After several versions of Fan di Fendi, Fendi recently came up with something entirely in its own league: Fendi L’Acquarossa Eau de Parfum. L’Acquarossa, the red water, celebrates women, passion, and the rich history of Rome.
Fendi L’Acquarossa (RRP for 30ml bottle: 61,50 euros) is a mostly floral scent with citrus/fruity top notes and powdery base ones. The Sicilian mandarin and Calabrian bergamot are fleeting, making dried plum the most prominent top note. Therefore, the scent begins sweet and fruity. The heart notes include orange Blossom, rose, magnolia, and lantana. Lantana is not a common note in perfumes, which is what sets L’Acquarossa apart. With the slightly bitter and almost leathery quality, lantana gives L’Acquarossa so much twist and character! It stays that way for some hours before drying down to the soft and slightly powdery mixture of patchouli, musk, and red cedar.
The bottle of L’Acquarossa is a piece of artwork. The rectangular red bottle has a beautiful lacquered finish and gold bottom. The cap is also gold with the brand name on a black side. The color combination creates a strong visual impact!
Fendi L’Acquarossa is a perfume I envision for a woman who knows what she wants. It is not an overly “feminine” or “sexy” perfume in the strictest definition. It is unique and powerful in its own way. It is also great for autumn, as it is heavier and more complicated (but not too much so).
Have you sniffed Fendi L’Acquarossa?
PS: Fendi L’Acquarossa also comes with a shower gel, lotion, and deodorant spray.
