When I got Rouge Bunny Rouge Orpheline several months ago, I knew it wouldn’t be my last Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush. In fact, I already knew I’d be adding the raspberry Florita to my collection when the weather gets cooler. Well, the cooler weather is here and so is Florita!
Rouge Bunny Rouge Original Skin Blush contains 3,5 grams (0.123 oz) and goes for 28 euros (again, last day for their 20% anniversary celebration discount. It’s a steal at 22 euros). The packaging isn’t extravagantly fancy, but it doesn’t feel flimsy and I like the flowers on the lid.
The same flowers are embossed on the blush itself. From my experience it would take quite some time for the pattern to wear off.
Rouge Bunny Rouge Florita Original Skin Blush is a medium raspberry pink. The finish is largely matte. Rouge Bunny Rouge says it is best suited for medium or olive skin tones (how about fair-medium with an olive undertone like me?), but in all honesty I think it will work for everyone. The texture of Florita is very finely-milled and it doesn’t feel like a powder blush. It is reasonably pigmented, but not so pigmented that you will look like a clown in an instant. You can also build it up to look very intense should you wish!
The best thing about Florita, just like Orpheline, is the blendability. Actually, forget about blending: I swear it glides onto the skin and immediately looks like part of my skin. It is an understatement to say that it melts into the skin: it simply makes my cheeks look as if they were born with a hint of raspberry!
Here is how Florita swatches:
Can you believe how good it looks when it is blended out? If you compare it with the swatches of this or even this (both are really good blushes by the way), you will probably be able to see Rouge Bunny Rouge has taken blushes to a different level!
Some more photos with Florita on my cheeks:
Additional makeup worn in this look: Rouge Bunny Rouge Eclipse Eagle (review coming up soon), Chanel Hasard, and Guerlain Lou-Ling Shine Automatique (LE from holiday 2012. Sorry I have been showing you these LE Guerlain lipsticks. I was never in love till I finally got the right blushes to pair with them, and now it’s like a whole new world is opening up for me).
Bottom line: I think I have said everything I want to say about Rouge Bunny Rouge Florita, so the bottom line is basically “go get yourself one!” I am both sad and happy that Rouge Bunny Rouge only makes 6 of these Original Skin Blushes, and Orpheline and Florita are the only two that speak to me. However, I can guarantee if they ever come up with a new shade that would show up well on my skin tone, I’d get it before you can finish spelling Mississippi.
Again, last day of their 20% anniversary sale! I am not affiliated with the brand nor do I get a single cent from your purchase, but you should really head over there to make one!
