Earlier today when I posted the Dior Golden Winter swatches, I promised to show you the result of my mini makeover. Here it is!
Since I went with makeup, the makeup artist had to build up on what I had in terms of eyeshadows and blush. The eye look I had was simple: it was Burberry Pale Barley and Bobbi Brown Slate. After incorporating some shades from Dior Golden Snow, this is what I ended up with:
I never ever highlight my brow bones with something very shimmery, but even in real life, this doesn’t look too stark! I think it’s because everything is well-blended. I can also tell you there was no fallout during application! In general I’d say Golden Snow is a cooler palette, but not so cool that us warm-toned girls can’t rock it!
This is how Minuit Diorific looks after 3-4 hours and a caramel Macchiato (fine, and an apple doughnut. I can’t resist carbs!):
The lipstick is of course not as full-on anymore, but it still looked pretty good. In fact, I went on wearing it for several more hours! It wasn’t completely gone after my sushi dinner, either. The shimmer is very fine and it adds a lot of dimension. It does look more and more prominent as the lipstick fades though!
This is the final look:
I have My Rose Diorblush layered over Chanel Rose Initiale on my cheeks:
What do you think? If I end up owning Golden Snow, I can already think of different ways of using it. I also have to check out the new Diorblushes soon, because My Rose looks great on and lasts well!
So much bling!
Also, meet J’adore L’Or! If you want to know if I am a fan, I am going to utter one word here: VANILLA. Yes, people, the vanilla note in J’adore L’Or is absolutely amazing! It is a note that I love, but I am also very picky. It’s easy for vanilla to smell too sweet and artificial, but not in this one! I actually laid my hands on some, so vigorous test wear will be performed, and you will hear all about it soon!
What do you think of the look? Have you tried anything from J’adore?
