Just when you think Dior can’t get any better… it always does! I got the opportunity to play with the brand new Golden Winter Collection, and naturally I had to report my quick observations! What I noticed is we seem to be getting a much larger line-up here in Europe, so hold on tight and let me walk you through all the swatches I managed to do!
First thing first: look at these two Poudre Compacte Illuminatrice Parfumées (RRP in Belgium: 74 euros)! I am not sure what the English translation is (perfumed illuminating powder compact?), but these two highlighters smell like J’adore! You see Perle d’Or (002) on the left, and Rose d’Or (001) on the right.
The compact is so luxurious and hefty!
Here is how the two shades swatched. As you can see, there is no glitter or large shimmer here. The texture is also so extremely creamy that it doesn’t feel like a powder at all! I think it can work as a face highlighter as well as on the décolleté.
Let’s move on to the eyes and cheeks! I’m sorry that I forgot to swatch the two blushes, but you see My Rose Diorblush (943) on the left, and Gold Addict Diorblush (533) on the right. I did have My Rose applied on my cheeks though, and I managed to photograph the look after I got home. It will be up in a separate post later today!
Dior Golden Flower 5 Couleurs (634):
Dior Golden Snow 5 Couleurs (644. RRP in Belgium: 58 euros):
Both quints have great quality, which is always a nice thing to see! I was not too sure how the pinker shades would look on my skin tone when I saw the promo images, but they turned out not to be too pink at all (much to my relief)!
Here you see Rosewood 3 Couleurs Glow (951. RRP in Belgium: 47 euros) and Comète Diorshow Fusion Mono (521. RRP in Belgium: 33 euros).
This is how Rosewood swatches:
Comète really reminds me of Chanel Convoitise Illusion d’Ombre. It is not fully opaque with one pass, but it can be built up.
Even before I went, I knew I had to swatch Minuit Diorific Vernis (995. RRP in Belgium: 27 euros). I mean, just look at it!
This is how Minuit looks on my nails:
Look at that shimmer! I bet it’ll look even better with Dior Gel Coat! Royale (775), the pink shade, also stole my heart. Marilyn (751) is a repromote from last year, which I own and love!
Last but not least, I am happy that we are getting 6 Diorific lipsticks (RRP in Belgium: 38 euros) this time! I have Diorling from last year’s Grand Bal, and it is one of the most easygoing reds I own. This year there is something for everyone!
From left to right you see Etoile (041), Joy (043), Royale (045), Winter (042), Diva (038), and Minuit (046):
You get more muted shades as well as bolder ones. I had Minuit applied, and it’s just as long-lasting and fuss-free as I remember!
What do you think? Did you see anything you like here? I had a mini makeover with Golden Snow, My Rose, and Minuit. The look is coming up in a separate post soon!
