Are you ready for more spring pieces? Today I have something pink and purple from *Chanel Collection Notes de Printemps (available in Belgium on Janury 17th) to share with you! Again, as I have just laid my hands on everything, this is more like a first impression post. Full reviews and looks will come as soon as I can squeeze them out!
(I accidentally nicked the darkest shade before I could photograph the quad…)
Chanel Quadrille Lumière Facettes (RRP in Belgium: 50 euros) has a satin lavender gray, a beige with a golden tint and some sheen, a satin pink coral, and a cool-toned dark brown with a reddish undertone. Most shades are pretty subtle when swatched dry, but I’ll try them wet to see if I can achieve a bolder look.
This is how Quadrille swatches dry:
Next up, we have Chanel Impulsion Illusion d’Ombre (RRP in Belgium: 30,50 euros).
I own several Illusion d’Ombres, but Impulsion has to be the one that sparkles the most! Impulsion has an almost glazed finish, and the multi-chrome shimmer catches light like crazy! It is smooth and as opaque as such a light shade can be.
There are two other Le Vernis in the collection, but the dark eggplant, Charivari, (RRP in Belgium: 22,50 euros) has to be my favorite!
It doesn’t really scream spring to me, but then again this wouldn’t be the first time Chanel sneaks a dark nail polish in their spring collection (Accessoire from 2013 is a good example). In any case, I am glad there is something for those of us who can’t do pastel!
The most exciting part about any spring release for me is the lipsticks, particularly the coral ones. There are 6 lipsticks in total in Collection Notes de Printemps with three different formulas (two Rouge Cocos, two Rouge Allures, and two Rouge Allure Velvets, so hopefully everyone can find something they like!
Chanel Triomphe Rouge Coco (RRP in Belgium: 33 euros) is a soft peachy coral.
Chanel Mélodieuse Rouge Allure (33 euros) is a bright pink coral.
There is also a Lèvres Scintillantes, Sonate (27,50 euros). It is a sheer coral red.
I personally prefer a bit more pigment in my lip products, but Sonate will most probably layer well on top of both Triomphe and Mélodieuse!
Last but not least, Chanel L’Adorée Rouge Allure Velvet, a rich mauve.
