A while ago I posted some quick swatches of Dior Trianon Spring 2014, and now we can finally take a closer look at some of the pieces! I have the *Trianon palette, *Songe Diorshow Fusion Mono Matte, *Minauderie Dior Addict Gloss, and *Porcelaine Dior Vernis to show you! The collection will be available on the 15th, so we really don’t have long to wait now!
Dior (001 Favorite) Trianon Makeup Palette (for Glowing Eyes & A Fresh Complexion. RRP in Belgium: 85 euros) is apparently only available in certain regions. Favorite has three eyeshadows, one eyeliner, and one blush. There is a tiny eyeshadow brush and blush brush on top of the standard sponge applicator. I am relatively sure the brushes are made with real hair as well (they have been inspected by Tango the feline specialist. He is very enthusiastic about real hair, but lukewarm about synthetic hair, and he was practically snorting these two).
In terms of eyeshadows, there is a shimmery bronzed champagne, a grass green with gold shimmer, and a frosty cool pink. The liner is a slightly grayish black. It is swatched dry here and it took some layering, but I am pretty sure it’d be better damp!
The green is the only sheerer shade here, so on the eyes it’s more like a hint of green than something very bold and opaque.
The blush is a very fresh pink. I’ll have to try it on to see how well it shows up on my skin tone, as it is definitely on the lighter and more natural side!
I liked the formula of Dior Millennium Diorshow Fusion Mono, and now there are some matte ones in the Trianon collection! Here you see Songe Diorshow Fusion Mono Matte (721. RRP: 34 euros), a beige-y nude. However, this might not be available all over the world, either.
Songe is definitely more like a base shade. I don’t own any matte cream shadows, and I would like to see how pressed eyeshadows work with this one. So far, I have observed that pressed eyeshadows layered on top of Songe become much less shimmery. They take on a satin finish instead. I hope it will stay put as well as Millennium, as I see this working as a primer and base shade for some!
Dior Minauderie Dior Addict Gloss (382. RRP: 32 euros) is an antique pink with a lot of sparkle!
Last but not least, we have Dior Porcelaine Dior Vernis (204. 25 euros). It is a pastel baby blue. I quickly tried it on a nail and hey, it actually looks OK!
Would you be interested in trying any of these? Also, does anyone else’s pet go bananas about brushes with real hair?
