Pretty much the second I set my eyes on *Chanel Émotion Rouge Coco Shine and *Chanel Coup de Coeur Le Vernis, I knew we were going to be good friends. As it turned out, I was not wrong!
Chanel Rouge Coco Shine has one of those lipstick/lip gloss hybrid formula. It has a light rose scent that I like. At some point last year, Chanel reformulated Rouge Coco Shine by adding 30% of pigment. They are now still very easy to wear, but they add more color to the lips than a tinted lip balm!
Chanel Émotion Rouge Coco Shine (92) is a beautiful plum. Most plummy lipsticks in my stash have way more pink than Émotion. It glides on extremely easily. You’d be surprised by the amount of color it delivers, even though it might not look too pigmented in the swatch. The finish is so glossy that it reminds me of raspberry jelly!
Here is how Émotion swatches:

It is just one pass! Can you see the beautiful jelly finish, too?
Émotion wears for about 3 hours and a half on my lips. It resists to drinking, but you would have to reapply after a meal. The formula is not drying, even perhaps lightly hydrating. It does leave a little bit of a stain and it fades evenly, so on a whole it is very low-maintenance.

Now let’s move on to Émotion‘s plum partner in crime, Coup de Coeur Le Vernis (609)!
Coup de Coeur is a plum with a cream finish. There is absolutely nothing I can nitpick about the formula here. The consistency is perfect (so it is easy breezy to work with), and it is almost perfectly opaque and even with one coat!
Such a juicy plum!
Who else is digging Émotion and Coup de Coeur as much as I am?
