For the second spring in a row, Chanel is bringing us a coral-fest. No complaints here. After all, I have been crowned the queen of corals by my bloggy pal Kristen. As opposed to last year’s selection which leans pink, Rêverie Parisienne brings us corals that are more on the orange side. Without further ado, meet the new members in my coral collection, namely *Désinvolte Rouge Coco Shine, *Fleur d’Eau Glossimer, and *Insaisissable Rouge Allure!
Despite the fact that nothing makes my heart sing like a vibrant, pigmented lipstick, I also see value and a lot of use in the more toned-down versions.
Chanel Désinvolte Rouge Coco Shine (97) is a semi-sheer orange coral that tints the lips just enough. It goes on smooth and glossy, and I find it lightly hydrating. Since it is a sheerer Rouge Coco Shine, it only lasts a few hours. I don’t hold this against it tho. I think there is literally no way for a semi-sheer glossy lipstick to last through a meal, so better get the expectations right!

See, it tints the lips just enough!
Chanel Fleur d’Eau Glossimer (192) is a sheer jelly coral. On its own, it doesn’t really show up much on my lips. Although like I have said before, my lips have the tendency to eat up color instead of projecting it. Therefore, I prefer to layer Fleur d’Eau over a lipstick! It has a very glossy finish, and it packs some hydration.

I don’t think it changes the color much, but the glossiness sure looks good!
Unsurprisingly, my favorite out of all three is Chanel Insaisissable Rouge Allure (152).
I mean, what’s not to love? This bright orange coral is full-on opaque, applies evenly, and feels comfortable on. Unless you eat a full meal, you can count on it for sticking around as well! I don’t find it particularly hydrating, but it is not drying, either.

When in doubt, wear a bright lipstick!
Did any of these catch your eye? As you might have seen on Instagram, I have more corals to show you soon!
