I might have said a couple of times that I don’t tend to like flankers, or rather I don’t like the idea of flankers. However, since I have been breaking that principle left and right recently, I might as well admit I like the new *Narciso Rodriguez Narciso Eau de Toilette better than the original Eau de Parfum!
The flacon of Narciso Rodriguez Narciso Eau de Toilette is a black/transparent cube with a transparent lid. In line with the brand’s aesthetics, it’s minimalist and sleek.
If you remember the original Narciso Eau de Parfum, you might remember the floral – creamy musk – woody base structure. Things haven’t changed much here, except it is a touch lighter!
Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Toilette starts off with two of my favorite flowers, rose and peony. I can’t help but feel cheerful whenever I smell peony, and the rose here adds an ultra feminine and sensual vibe to the fragrance. Unlike citrus notes, rose and peony actually stick around for at least half an hour before a creamy musk note gently envelops your senses. In comparison with the original, the musk here is more light-hearted and less “dull.” It goes on for hours before drying down to a rather faint but surely there cedar and vetiver combination. The vetiver might not be strong, but I can catch a whiff of it whenever I turn my head.
Narciso Rodriguez Eau de Toilette has moderate sillage while wearing close to the skin. For a lighter fragrance, it actually lasts 8 hours. If you enjoy the original, you might like this lighter version for summer. If you find the idea of combining fresh floral with creamy musk intriguing, take a whiff of the new Narciso Rodriguez creation!
Have a great start of the week! I enjoyed some quality time with friends/family over the weekend and was basically in a perpetual food coma. How about you? Did you do anything fun?
