Guerlain seldom ever disappoints in the lip department, and Bloom of Rose is no exception. I showed you the swatches a little while ago. It’s time to take a closer look at *Orange Fizz KissKiss, *Crazy Bouquet KissKiss Roselip, and *Nailift La Base!
Once again, you’ve got to love Guerlain for their superb aesthetics. It is not quite as extravagant as Givenchy, not quite as understated as Chanel, and not quite as fashion-minded as Dior. However, it is every bit as sophisticated and glamorous as you’d expect from a luxury brand. If you have seen KissKiss, the new KissKiss Roselip is its twin dressed in pearlescent white.
Guerlain Orange Fizz KissKiss (345. RRP in Belgium: 38,50 euros) is a very orange-leaning coral, so much to the point that on my lips it’s mostly orange. The shade is not 100% bright and vibrant, and I think the toned-down quality gives it autumn vibes. Formula-wise, Orange Fizz is in line with Rouge Kiss. The texture is beautifully creamy, and it offers great coverage with a lingering translucency. Despite the fact that it is not as rich as Rouge G, it actually has great lasting power. Even after a full meal, it leaves behind an even stain.

I have always been pretty open about my love for Guerlain Nahema Smack Gloss d’Enfer, so I won’t repeat myself here.

I don’t know about you, but I am a fan!
Guerlain KissKiss Roselip is dubbed as a hydrating and plumping lip balm. There are 6 shades in total, from the clear Morning Rose to the plummy Wonder Violette.
Guerlain Crazy Bouquet KissKiss Roselip (R329. RRP in Belgium: 38,50 euros) is supposed to be a red. However, since it is sheer, a lot depends on your natural lip color and skin tone. On me, it’s more like a warm pink.
For a tinted lip balm, KissKiss Roselip is actually more than pigmented enough. It is extremely easy to apply (without being all melty if you know what I mean), has a nice sheen, and it actually is hydrating! I am very surprised about how well the color lasts. It doesn’t slide off as soon as you drink/eat something. Instead, even when you can’t feel much of a texture anymore on your lips, a bit of that color is still visible. All in all, I can go a few hours before I have to reapply.

As far as tinted lip balm goes, this is hard not to like!
I also have to put in a good word for Guerlain Nailift La Base (RRP in Belgium: 25,70 euros). I haven’t used it for long enough to tell you definitively if it has strengthened my nails, but it is a good base coat that hardens my pathetic soft nails instantly so they do seem more resilient. This is limited edition, but I am hoping Guerlain will eventually make it permanent because it has something extra in comparison with a regular base coat!
All in all, all of these get my seal of approval. It goes down to the formula/shade you want to add to your stash. The eyeshadow palette is coming up soon!
Which autumn collection(s) are you looking forward to the most? I think I am safe from the Tom Ford one for a change (until I see too many photos on Instagram and caves in anyways), but there are a couple of pieces from Chanel that I might like (the quad and the blush).
