Guerlain doesn’t just make beautiful makeup. It now makes several makeup removers/cleansers as well! Here is a quick look at *Guerlain Beauté des Yeux Biphase Eye Make Up Remover and *Guerlain Eau de Beauté Micellar Lotion.
Guerlain Beauté des Yeux (125 ml/4,2 oz. RRP in Belgium: 46 euros) is a bi-phase makeup remover that claims to protect the eyelashes. It is unscented, which makes it gentle enough for the eye area. Besides melting off eye makeup pretty fast, it doesn’t leave any greasy residue at all! My eyelids are left feeling soft and moisturized, but not at all greasy. Especially if you wear contact lenses, this is a pretty good option!
Guerlain Eau de Beauté (200 ml/6,7 oz. RRP in Belgium: 50 euros) is a micellar water that comes with a pump. The consistency is much “richer” than most micellar waters I have tried. It feels almost “slippery” on the skin during the cleansing process, but once it dries, you are left with soft skin and zero residue. I’ve tried more hydrating micellar waters before, but some of them left a funny feeling after they dried. This one? Not at all! Ladies (and gents) with drier skin, or anyone who wants extra hydration might appreciate this. Quick heads-up: it is lightly-scented (described as white tea, musk, and jasmine), so if your eyes are very sensitive, you might want to first make sure they are fine with the formula.
The “Beauty Skin Cleansers” line also comes with a cleansing milk, a mousse, and a cream cleanser.
Now come to think of it, what is the most luxurious cleanser/makeup remover you have tried? I think these top my list!
