Khaki is a fail-proof autumn theme, and one that I really enjoy. Burberry’s autumn collection dresses the eyes and the nails in variations of the shade. Would you come for a walk on the wild side with *Burberry Autumn/Winter 2015 Runway Palette and *Cadet Green Nail Polish?
Burberry Autumn/Winter 2015 Runway Palette (10 grams/0,3 oz. RRP in Belgium: 54 euros) is an eye-catching piece to say the least. It might not be the first camouflage print eyeshadow palette ever made, but the print is more intricate than most. In case you were wondering, I was able to pick individual shades up relatively easily with MAC 239.
Burberry Autumn/Winter 2015 Runway Palette packs an off-white, a khaki, and a sooty forest green. All of them lean dry and sheer, so a primer and perhaps a base are mandatory. Once they’re on, they do largely stay put (except on my lower lash line, where only eyeshadows with a creamier texture stick).

I whipped up a quick look with the off-white in the inner corners, the khaki in the inner two thirds, and the sooty forest green in the outer third:
This palette is definitely more of a collector’s item than anything else. If you want it for the looks, I say go ahead because it is a piece of eye candy. If you want a trio/palette with a similar color story, there are plenty of pretty ones out there!
Burberry Cadet Green Nail Polish (No. 206. RRP: 19 euros) on the other hand, is a stunner!
Besides a flawless formula (one coat is already even and covers nicely, although I always wear two for extra lasting power), Cadet Green is just such a special green that I don’t own yet. It’s neither too cool nor too warm. It’s deep enough without being muddy. I didn’t think it looks all that inspiring in the bottle, but once on the nails I was instantly converted!

Do you like khaki or green in general? I was tagged to post about the most underrepresented color family in my stash on Instagram, and my answer is nude. However, I was surprised because quite a few people commented that they want nothing to do with green!
