Hey everyone, happy weekend!
This weekend I’m going to show you some products from MAC’s spring collections, including Added Goodness Fluidline from Shop MAC, Cook MAC, Butterfly Dream Plushglass and Sunday Afternoon Pearlmatte Face Powder from Vera. Today I’m bringing you Added Goodness, which happens to be the first MAC fluidline that I own!
I have always been a loyal fan of black liner, because I suspect that anything less intense will not define my eyes properly. When I saw Added Goodness however, I knew it was more than promising. It seems to be dark enough to define my eyes, but soft enough not to make my eyes too fierce.
Added Goodness is a very complex color. It is a blackened taupe with multi-color shimmer. I see brown, gray, black, and even some mauve in it. Fortunately, the complexity translates very well when it is applied on the lids. The texture of this one is absolutely fantastic. It is so light and smooth, perhaps much more so than Blacktrack which I also swatched on the back of my hand during my shopping trip. The staying power, like what most people experience, is no joke. I have worn it for 17 hours, and at the end of the day it showed no sign of fading or smudging.
The only thing I would wish for, is probably for this color to be more opaque. It takes a while to build up for it to look like this:
I have tried to layer it on top of a black gel liner, and that worked out very well. The color shows when I blink, which is an interesting effect. Because of the complexity of this color, I’d say it is easy to pair with the eyeshadows you have. I have used it with both cooler and warmer eyeshadows, and it looks stunning with all of them!
What do you think? Did you pick up Added Goodness? Would you like to if you have the chance?
Keep your eyes peeled tomorrow for my Vera swatches and reviews!
