Hey everyone, today is D-Day! Dior Chérie Bow collection is hitting the stores in Belgium! I have one last piece, Dior Addict Lip Glow, to briefly go over as well as doing a small collection round-up for you.
If you are familiar with Dior Addict Ultra-Glosses, the packaging, texture, and scent of Dior Addict Lip Glow shouldn’t be surprising to you. If you’re not, then let me just say I like the faint vanilla scent, buttery texture, and the precise applicator a lot!
Like all the similar products, Dior Addict Lip Glow (the full name is Dior Addict Lip Glow Color Reviver Gloss) claims to react directly with the unique chemistry of each woman’s lips before releasing its color ingredient. The lips are supposed to seem revived from within, and the gloss should double as a lip balm. The swatch shows you how it looks on my arm. It seems really sheer, but on my lips I see a visible difference. It seems a bit cooler-toned, but it does blend seamlessly in with my real lip color. When I have this on, my lips do look fuller (all Dior Addict Ultra-Glosses have a plumping effect for me without the cooling or stinging sensation), and it definitely seems like I only have a clear gloss/balm on, but my lips have just a hint of healthier color.
You’ve seen this on me in the look I did for Dior Fishnet Black Twin Set Eyeshadow:
It wears for around 3 hours. Like other Dior Addict Ultra-Glosses, it is comfortable to wear and hydrating. If you wear it on top of a lipstick, it does change the color a tiny little. It’s fun to experiment! I wouldn’t say it’s a must-have, but if you don’t already own a similar gloss, the Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss formula has my seal of approval!
All in all, I would highly recommend Diorblush Pink Happiness (I heard the texture and pigmentation of Tender Coral are even better, but I don’t have problems with this one), Dior Charmante Dior Addict Lipstick, and Dior Vernis Tutu. Dior Chérie Bow Rose Poudré also packs good quality (the shade in the middle seems pretty unique to me), and if you are a fan of Dior or the packaging, I’d say go for it. I don’t have too much luck with Dior Fishnet Black Twin Set Eyeshadow, but creasing is a very individual thing so I would still encourage you to try!
Is there anything in this collection that you can’t wait to check out in real life? Do you have a soft spot for spring collections?
Sunny, your beauty culture translator xx
