Chanel Jeux de Regards sneak peek

Hey everyone! A little while back I shared the exciting news about a new Chanel collection, Chanel Jeux de Regards. Today I’m showing you a sneak peek at the pieces, swatches, and some quick observations!

Chanel 41 Fascination Les 4 Ombres

 

First up we have Chanel Fascination Les 4 Ombres (41, RRP in Belgium: 49,50 euros). There is a shimmery blue-ish teal, a satin  white with a pinch of dove gray, a steel gray, and a very blackened teal. All four shades are soft and silky to the touch. The only one that requires some layering to be fully opaque is the teal. The other three have great pigmentation, and I don’t think fallout will be a concern with them.

There are two Illusion d’Ombres in the collection, including Convoitise (90, limited edition) and Apparition (91. RRP in Belgium: 30 euros).

Apparition is a stormy grayish navy blue, and Convoitise is a neutral gold. Convoitise requires a little building up while Apparition packs a lot of pigment!

Chanel 103 Bleu Exquis, 84 Taupe Stylo Yeux Waterproof

 

The collection contains eight Stylo Yeux Waterproofs in total, and here we have Bleu Exquis (103) and Taupe (84, limited edition. RRP in Belgium: 23,50 euros).

Last but not least, if you like colored mascara, Chanel is bringing out a blue and a plum version of Chanel Le Volume de Chanel (RRP in Belgium: 30,50 euros).

    So it looks as though Apparition will be permanent and wasn’t just limited for Blue Illusion. Yay! I really love wearing mine. I *NEED* the Bleu exquis pencil. And is it just me, or does the mascara actually look blue, instead of that blackened nonsense that companies do? Another must-have! Thanks for sharing — looks like I will have to place a phone call tomorrow :-D

      Hey Melanie, yes that mascara looks really blue! I still have to try it on my lashes though. So curious about how I’d look with blue mascara!

        The mascara almost reminds me of Blue Moon from ages ago. Will let you know once I get my paws on it. Try some blue (especially Apparition) — I think that it’s a colour that looks wonderful on everyone!

    Wow! That blue navy grey colour is stunning! And i like the purple mascara although it wouldn’t work on me i’m afraid. Would look like i’ve been crying.

    Apparition looks beautiful! I just don’t very often wear blue on my eyes, somehow it’s not really my thing.

      Actually I can count with one hand the number of times I’ve worn blue! I think I can pull of some but not most. I do think Apparition wouldn’t be too challenging though!

    What a beautiful collection! And WOWZA is Apparition pigmented! It’s stunning! But I’m eyeing the 2 liners from this collection most. I’ve really been wanting to play with more blue liners (I only have 1) and that taupe…it’s just gorgeous, ’nuff said :P

      I think the liners are easy to incorporate into different looks, so they’re good investment!

    Apparition is ‘still’ on my wishlist, I had a similar (less pigmented though) shade from Jill Stuart and wasn’t wearing it that much. But I like the deep undertone of this one so much. The blue Chanel quad looks lovely, that kinda dusty undertone is catching my eye, your swatches are always so pretty!!

      Aww thanks Claire! Fascination is definitely an interesting quad. I still don’t know how well I can pull the colors off, but I see this working very well for those with a cooler undertone.

    Hi Sunny! I love the look of Apparition!
    I wanted to know your opinion about the Les 4 Ombres. Everyone goes on about how the US version is better.I currently live in Barcelona, so we receive the round European ones like the one you have here. What are your thoughts about if they last adequately long enough during the day?

      Hey Sofia, thanks for passing by and leaving a comment!

      Fascination is my second Chanel quad (my first is Harmonie du Soir, which is the same all over the world and has a different formula from both of their regular versions), and since I have never swatched a US version I really wouldn’t be the best judge of that. I still have to test Fascination out to see how it performs, and you should get to read all about it next week! I will definitely let you know if it has fading problems, though I always use a primer and that happens very rarely!

    My eyes are bugging out! What a lovely collection! I have a Illusion D’ombre addiction so Convoitise will be mine. The palette looks pretty too. Which is your favorite piece?

      So exciting right?

      I tested everything but the quad out today (yes, I have two very different eye looks going on at the same time), and I really like both liners! Apparition stands out to me because it is very pigmented, and it’s been 7 hours and I have no problem with wear. Convoitise is sheer but can be built up (still it wouldn’t be completely opaque). It’ll be good if you want a sheer wash or layer pressed shadows on top. I still have to see how the quad works on me. I’ll for sure keep you posted!

    I have been reading you blog for awhile, but my first time commenting. I already have my local Chanel counter put aside Fascination, both pencils and Apparition when they come in! Blues look lovely on dark brown eyes and I know you’ll look lovely. The only time my husband has ever made a comment about how lovely my eyes look was when I had a smokey blue eye look on.

      I’ve been testing out Apparition today and I’m glad to say the lasting power is great. It is SUPER pigmented as well. I did one swipe and that was that! It’ll be perfect for a blue smokey eye. I hope you’ll like it!

      Wheeeee guess what? I’m REALLY digging the blue mascara! I totally thought I’d like the plum more, but the blue one looks REALLY good with Apparition! Also it gives my lashes SUCH a boost AND holds my curls sky high. Totally amazing!

      Haha I don’t yet own a taupe liner so I’m happy with this one. Apparition is the bomb! Super pigmented and wears so well!

    this is the collection i’d get my hands on for the spring!
    the apparition looks very similar to the l’oreal infallible midnight blue, though.
    love love the quad. i wonder if we’re going to have the same colors, though. (the u.s. version?)

      Hey Lena, yaaay I’m glad you’re seeing something you like! I am not too sure how similar these two are, but I typically have problems with wear when it comes to the Infallibles. Apparition on the other hand, lasts well even without a primer!

      I am not too sure if there will be a US version. I’d say this collection will be released in the US maybe on a later date though.
