Dior promises a very hot summer this year with Dior Addict Eau Délice and Dior Summer Mix! Today I’m sharing my first impression on the new member of the Dior Addict fragrance family and Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme. If you are already intrigued by the idea of Dior doing cream blushes, I don’t think you will be disappointed. If you haven’t given it much thought, allow me to tell you it’s about time to get psyched!
Dior Addict Eau Délice & Dior Diablotine Addict Gloss for scale. The 20ml bottle is very purse- and travel-friendly!
Dior Addict Eau Délice (RRP for a 20ml-bottle as featured here: 51,11 euros. Available on June 5th) is the new member of the Dior Addict fragrance family. Around this time last year, Dior revamped the line with two new EDTs (Eau Sensuelle is my favorite). This year, Eau Délice will dance onto the shelves with her coral red ensemble!
Eau Délice opens with the fleeting note of cranberries before moving on to its floral heart, Jasmine Granfiflorum and Ylang Ylang. The base note is white musk, but on me Ylang Ylang stays very prominent. Unlike what I would expect from a “summer fragrance,” Eau Délice has excellent staying power! By the time I’m writing this post, it has been on my wrist for almost 8 hours, and it is just beginning to fade!
I will be honest about not being a big fan of Ylang Ylang, so I still favor Eau Sensuelle over Eau Délice. I do, however, think all three EDTs are great summer fragrances (there is also an EDP in the line-up). They are lighter and fresher than what you might reach for in winter, but they do stay well. The best part? They are available in three different sizes (20, 50, and 100ml)! Isn’t the 20ml bottle adorable? It’ll be so easy to carry aound and travel with as well!
Besides four neon bright Dior Vernis, Dior Summer Mix includes four Diorblush Cheek Cremes (7 grams/0.24 oz. RRP in Belgium: 33,02 euros. Availability: June 19th) this time around! I received Bikini (871).
Dior describes Bikini as an “apricot,” but it is more like a very bright coral red with a sheen and some really tiny light-reflecting particle. The texture of Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme is very unique: think Chanel Illusion d’Ombre, only less squishy! Bikini packs an amazing amount of pigment in a lighter-than-air texture. so you only need a very light dab to begin with! However, don’t be worried about ending up looking like a clown, as it blends into the skin oh-so-easily! It dries down somehow (a bit like a cream-to-powder texture), so it should work for those with oilier skin types as well . You can really blend it in for a barely-there natural look, but you can also build it up if you’re in a daring mood!
I used an extremely light hand in the swatch, so bear in mind it can be a lot more vibrant!
On top of the incredible color pay-off and blendability, Dior Bikini Diorblush Cheek Creme has a natural luminous finish that gives the cheeks a very healthy appearance. By the time I’m writing this, it has been on my cheeks for 8 hours and let me tell you: it is still going vibrant and strong!
I still have to do a look and write a bit more about Bikini, but so far it ticks all the boxes of a great blush and then some (hint: put it on your wish list)! I am honestly beyond impressed, and I truly hope the quality is representative of the other three (Panama, a tangerine/Paréo, a fuchsia/Babies, a pink)!
I can certainly gush about Bikini for another 2 paragraphs, but give me some more time to play with it and I will do that when I do a look! For the time being, just remember there is a great cream blush on the block that you’ve got to try!
Raise your hand if you’re excited about summer/Diorblush Cheek Cremes/a new Dior Addict fragrance!
