Guerlain Terra Ora Collection Sneak Peek & Quick Swatches!

Guerlain Terra Ora Collection Summer 2013

I have to confess: I have been toying with the idea of putting together a post of my top picks from the summer collections, but I had to put it off. Why? Well, how could I leave Guerlain Terra Ora Collection (availability in Belgium: June 15th) out? It has an Egyptian goddess vibe that will look like a dream on tanned summer skin! Let’s take a quick look at Terra Ora Sculpting Powder Contrast Highlighter Face and Décolleté, Bronze Ora Fard Métal, and Corail Ora Shine Automatique!

Guerlain Terra Ora Collection

Guerlain Terra Ora Sculpting Powder Contrast Highlighter

Terra Ora Sculpting Powder Contrast Highlighter Face and Décolleté (16 grams/.056 oz. RRP in Belgium: 65,08 euros) is no doubt the star of the show! Don’t force me to admit I almost shed a tear dipping my finger in the pan: just look at that pattern! My quick observation is that the powder is velvety-soft, finely-milled, and not over-the-top shimmery!

Here is the swatch of the highlighter shade, the bronzer shade, and the two mixed together:

Guerlain Bronze Ora Fard Métal

Apparently loose eyeshadows are on the rise! Behold Bronze Ora Fard Métal (0.7 grams/0.02 oz. RRP: 30,81 euros)! The idea is not far from the other two loose eyeshadows you’ve seen here recently (PIXI and Rouge Bunny Rouge), but the applicator is surprisingly bouncy! It practically jumps up as you twist the cap open (don’t worry though. I tried. It never literally bounced out)! The shadow itself seems very pigmented and smooth. Here’s to hoping it’s long-lasting and not fussy to work with!

Guerlain Corail Ora Shine Automatique

Last but not least, isn’t there is a coral lipstick in the collection (cue Sunny with Gollum face)? Say hello to Corail Ora Shine Automatique (RRP: 35,07 euros)! It’s a coral in a formula I love. Chances of me not being a fan are pretty slim!

Left: one pass. Right: built up. Oh you juicy coral goodness with golden shimmer!

Look(s) and reviews coming soon!

Have you got to check this collection out? Did you indulge?

Sunny, your beauty culture translator xx

PS: More information for the Belgian readers: only Kohl Kajal and Lingerie de Peau BB Cream will be available at ICI PARIS XL. The rest is available at all Guerlain counters. I am personally very interested in the BB cream. I swatched some at the airport recently and liked the satiny matte finish.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

That’s one of the things I really didn’t have the heart to swatch!

  • http://mybeautysample.com/ Becca @ The Beauty Sample

Corail Ora MUST be mine!!!! Sooooo pretty…and you know I love a good sheer lippie! :D

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Haha Corail Ora (or Shine Automatiques in general) is still the type of sheer I’m fine with! At least they have decent lasting power. I just don’t want to reapply every hour!

  • beauties

I bet that coral lipstick will suit you perfectly, as always :) too bad coral makes me look sick

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww well you can wear brown but brown makes me look sick! It’s just different skin tones!

  • http://lipstickboulevards.blogspot.com/ LiptickBoulevards

    Oh you evil temptress !
I have been avoiding this powder for a while lol
    MUST RESIST !

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

LOL sorry! I’m already plotting the BB cream purchase. I’ll most probably try to get a sample first though!

      • http://lipstickboulevards.blogspot.com/ LiptickBoulevards

muahaha I got the BB cream and yes you need it !
It has amazing coverage – SO IMPRESSED :)

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

OOO good to know! I am looking for something more matte/mattifying for summer. Do you think this could work?

  • Icaria

    Sunny! You ARE KILLING ME!!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Sorry, but Guerlain is usually very good at making TEMPTING stuff!

  • Lily

OMG Sunny. All these 3 products are gorgeous! I’m in love :-)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Same here!

  • Man Yee Lau

Actually I saw it already displayed on a seperate stand in the INNO, Rue Neuve. ^^ Going back to get the Corail Ora lippie. :D They have the bronzer, the meteorites primer, the 2 lippies, the 2 loose eyeshadows and the khol kajal available in the INNO. I think they have the special kabuki brush too…

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

That’s good news! Thanks for sharing! The dates I get aren’t always the same with the actual ones, so it’s good to know!

      • Man Yee Lau

I often see that Inno is the first to release and sell the new collections. Ici Paris Xl is often the last to release the limited edition collections.

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey girly, I went to Inno in Antwerp today but didn’t see the collection yet! It’s funny how every store seems to have its own schedule ;)

          • Man Yee Lau

Oh! Strange that each Inno has a different release schedule for the new collections because I just went back today to the inno at Rue Neuve to buy the corail ora lippie and the bronzer. I must be very lucky to work in Brussels! :D

          • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Yes you are! I hope you’ll enjoy your new goodies!

  • http://kissandmakeupsbeautyblog.wordpress.com/ Kiss & Make-up

Holy moly! I think this is what they would call love at first sight…

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      I agree!

  • http://www.glittergeek.ca/ Arianne

    That bronzer is EVERYTHING.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I’m still a little sad I had to ruin the pattern!

  • Krystle Kouture

The bronzer is gorgeous. I wouldn’t mind splurging on it since it has a highlight too. That makes more “worth” it to me!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Krystle, multi-purpose products are definitely good in my book, too!

  • Dorien@InMyPrettyShoes

I already tried the bronzer in the Netherlands, at Douglas. It’s already available there. I have to say, very pretty!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dorien, Guerlain does make a lot of pretty stuff! *fangirling*

  • http://wade-ashore.blogspot.com/ Caise

I don’t use bronzers but this one is probably the prettiest one I’ve ever seen

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Daria, I’m just beginning to get into bronzers, and I’m pretty excited to try this one!

      • http://wade-ashore.blogspot.com/ Caise

I’m also using the Nars primer and imo it does change a little this Chanel eyeshadow but maybe I should try using it again:)

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Caise, hmm I haven’t really noticed this but do try again!

  • http://www.bellachique.be/ Teri

Aaaah, that bronzer is so pretty! I’m actually surprised how well the print lasts, it still looks as good as new here ^^.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Teri, I think it’ll take quite a while for it to completely disappear, but I’m still a little sad!

  • Dominique33

I love the powder ( more classy than the Nerolia I think ) and the RA Shine, very pretty !

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dominique, I have swatched Nerolia and I actually like it a lot as well! It’s a pity that we don’t get Nerolia here for some reason!

      • Dominique33

Yes the powder itself is good but the packaging ? Looks like a Sephora one I think. The scent is delicate. I don’t know why you don’t get Nerolia in the US ? Terra Ora is very classy, glad you get it !

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dominique, I actually like the packaging! It’s hefty and the texture is very special. I live in Belgium, and apparently Nerolia won’t make it here!

          • Dominique33

Feel free to ask, I am from France and I will gladly send it if you need it^^. On Sephora.fr I am ” Mado33 “, I left some 635 mini reviews so far. And I left one for Terra Nerolia ( 3/5 ) ! It’s a large pan ( black and plastic ), compared to the Terra Ora it’s much bigger in fact.

          • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thanks, Dominique! I think I’m good in the bronzer department this season. I’m happy that even though these two aren’t exactly budget-friendly, Guerlain is generous with the amount of product they put in them!

          • Dominique33

I am good too^^ But I think all bronzers have been reviewed, Fall 2013 collections are ” virtually ” available, time to save up money ! ^^

          • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Exactly! I’ll be back in Taipei in July, and hopefully I’ll get to see some of the autumn collections!

          • Dominique33

You are lucky :) ! I hope you’ll pick up what you need !

  • Raya – reportingforbeauty

God, Guerlain really makes the most beautiful products ever. Must… Have…

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I agree! Guerlain always does something extra special!

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

SO MUCH GORGEOUSNESS. MY EYES. MY WALLET!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

I know. The wallet is in trouble!

  • http://buyingcrueltyfree.com/ Catherine

The highlighter looks really gorgeous. Love the color of the lipstick as well

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Catherine, one more coral for this girl :p

  • http://www.glambunctious.com/ Kristen / Glambunctious

That bronzer is just beyond gorgeousness. If anyone knows how to do a beautiful product, it’s Guerlain! I think I’d cry about “messing up” the pattern, too, lol!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Kristen, you’re right about Guerlain doing beautiful products! It will take a long time for the pattern to completely disappear though. Plus I have already taken pictures I can remember it by LOL

  • TracyBeautyReflections

SO PRETTY! But I swatched the bronzer and it’s too warm for me so I AM SAVED LOL hahaha!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hahaha good for you, Tracy! I can see how it could be too warm on certain skin tones. On me fortunately it’s fine!

  • VickyM

I love the Automatiques I just find the way they open to be so unique and this one is very cute, I like the color even though I turn into Gollum when it comes to medium and bold pinks instead of corals, but I do love them as well just not as much as the pinks. The loose eye shadows are pretty and the other color that is a warm bronze is very beautiful, of course the platinum one you have is nice too. The bronzer is pretty, I love the pattern but I don´t use bronzers :) .

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Vicky, I’m actually slowing warming up to bronzers! Ever since I got Dior Coral Glow, I have incorporated bronzer into my routine. This one definitely came at the right time!

  • http://lifeandlensofbeauty.blogspot.hk/ Jenni @ lifeandlensofbeauty

so gorgeous! I think the lipstick screams sunny to me ;D :D it’s so YOU!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Haha thanks so much, Jenni! Practically every coral lipstick screams my name!

  • http://MyLuciteDreams.com/ MyLuciteDreams

Omg! I looove this collection! I want that sculpting brush terribly, so pricey though. That coral and gold lipstick is gorgeous!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

The powder contains a good amount of product, but it is an investment indeed!

  • peggy timmermans

Honestly, I must say…i love love love the entire collection! I saw the bronzer on you the other day and it looked so natural!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks, Peggy! I was a little unsure about the bronzer because it’s not matte (and I use matte bronzers more often), but once it’s on the shimmer doesn’t stand out at all! Phew.

  • http://www.nailsandcupcakes.com/ Isabelle

I’m in LOVE here. I just don’t NEED any of them… So painful! Can you wear the bronzer on Thursday? I want to see it in action! :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Of course! You’ll see. It looks quite natural even though it’s not matte!

  • Lisa @ MidwestGlam

Omigosh why oh why did I have to read this post! I NEED that bronzer! It’s gorgeous! That coral lipstick is pretty, too! Just when I thought I was done for this season… Can’t wait to see a look!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Haha sorry, Lisa! I think after Guerlain you WILL be officially done for this season though ;)

  • Memoiselle

Guerlain never fails to launch an impressive collection! I must say I am drawn into this collection but I shall skip it because I don’t need more summer products and must save early for the fall products :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Haha good thinking, Meryl!
