Mirror Mirror on the Wall, Who Is the Prettiest Apricot of Them All? Chanel Présage Le Blush Crème de Chanel

Chanel Presage (62) Le Blush Creme de Chanel

In case you haven’t got around to checking out the 6 new Chanel Le Blush Crème de Chanel, I’d urge you to put it on the top of your to-do list. I’ve tried three, and I can’t promise a couple more wouldn’t come home with me! Today I’m showing you Présage, a pretty apricot.

Chanel Le Blush Creme de Chanel packaging

Chanel Le Blush Crème de Chanel is housed in a typical Chanel compact. It is smaller and thinner than a Chanel Joues Contraste, for example. I am not too sure a compact like this is the best way to keep the cream blush from drying out, but only time will tell.

Chanel Presage (62) Le Blush Creme de Chanel

Présage (62. RRP in Belgium: 34,50 euros) looks like an orange with a hint of pink in the pan, and also when it is swatched heavily. Once blended out however, it really is more of an apricot than anything else. Don’t be intimidated by how it looks in pan. On the skin it doesn’t have to look as bold, but you can build it up easily to be true-to-pan as well! The finish of Présage is very, very natural. It is not shimmery, but it doesn’t look matte. It has a bit of a healthy sheen that we all want from a blush, and nothing more!

This is how it looks blended out, though you can blend it out further if you want:

The formula of Présage, or basically every Le Blush Crème de Chanel I have tried, is impressive. The extremely pigmented lightweight cream becomes a powder once it is blended out, and it is incredibly easy to do so. I have tried to use my fingers and Shiseido Perfect Foundation Brush. Both work well, but I actually prefer my fingers because it’s faster that way. Présage stays put really well. It basically sticks around all day (with minor fading around the edges at the end of the day)!

Here is how Présage looks on me:

If you are curious, I have Guerlain Bronze Ora and Bobbi Brown Slate on my eyes, as well as Chanel Mystique Rouge Coco on my lips (review coming up soon).

Bottom line: If apricot is your shade, make sure you check out Chanel Présage Le Blush Crème de Chanel! It’s an adorable color with an impressive formula. There’s nothing about it I don’t love!

Have you tried any of the Chanel Le Blush Crème de Chanel? If so, which shades did you pick up? If not, what shades are you eyeing?

I really love this formula. I barely even have to touch the blush to get product on my finger. It’s amazing!

  • Lily

    I want all of them!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

OK so I swatched the rest and really liked Revelation! I’m not sure about Fantastic because it’s SO pigmented, but I know chances are it can be blended out easily! Don’t think you can go wrong with these!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

    So pretty on you Sunny!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Thanks so much, Tracy!

  • Dominique33

I have Inspiration and Révélation. To be honest I think the pan is much too thin ( not classy enough ), but the texture and pigments are very good indeed. A smooth texture, velvety cheeks !
Présage looks very pretty on you, coral and apricot are your shades ! :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dominique, I was looking at Revelation the other day and it’s so tempting! I need to work with the products I have before I purchase anything else though. Otherwise it’ll really get out of hand!

      • Dominique33

Yes I agree. I don’t know which ones are permanent, maybe Révélation is ? Présage is perfect on you so you can wait a bit^^.

        • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Dominique, from what I can see on the Chanel US website, only Presage and Fantastic are limited edition. I hope they aren’t planning to bring more shades out soon, because chances are I’ll want those too LOL

  • Anne

I soooo wanted Chanel Frivole, but it frustrates me that I can’t get the US version. I want an excellent product, not an average or merely good product at this price point, so I can’t bring myself to buy the baked version.
I was thinking of Présage as a replacement, but it looks quite red when swatched (and, yeah, the intensity scared me!). It doesn”t look so red on your cheeks though! It suits you well! So do you think this could be used as a dupe for Frivole?
I’m also a bit unsure about the product drying out, I like my goodies to last a lifetime! When do cream products begin to dry out on average?

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Anne, I have only swatched Frivole (thought I’d mention this: I was impressed by how pigmented the baked version is), so I can’t really compare. I’d say the two shades are fairly similar, so if you don’t want the baked version of Frivole I’d encourage you to take a look at Presage. You can really blend it out, so don’t worry about the pigment! Just lightly tap your finger (or brush) into the pan and start from there.

The oldest cream blush I own is about 2 years old, and it’s fine. I have to see how the packaging of this one performs, but so far I haven’t experienced the drying-out problem with any cream blushes that I own!

      • Anne

Thanks, Sunny! I’m quite relieved to hear how long a cream blush can last. I’ll tell you if I do end up getting Présage!

  • http://beautyreductionista.blogspot.ca/ Liz

I saw it today and thought it was permanent for some reason and didn’t even swatch. Neeeeeed it!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Liz, I’m getting a little confused about whether these are permanent. The info I received only lists Fantastic as LE, but I have seen this listed as LE in the blogosphere. In any case, you should figure it out and swatch all of them!

  • http://lifeandlensofbeauty.blogspot.hk/ Jenni @ lifeandlensofbeauty

love these when i swatched at the counter! sadly cream blushes don’t hold up on my skin very well :/

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Jenni, I’d encourage you to have one applied at the counter and see how it lasts. These hold up INCREDIBLY well. I mean incredibly. It’s even water-resistant (I had some swatches on the back of my hand, and they weren’t gone after I did the dishes)!

  • http://www.cuteandmundane.com/ Dovey

    Hi Sunny,

I love how soft and pretty Chanel Presage looks on you :)

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks, Dovey! This is definitely something that can be built up though!

  • LifeOfBun

These look like such soft wearable shades, love how they’re not overpowering.

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Anouchka, they’re very pigmented but they blend well, so unless you’re really quite fair they should work just fine!

  • JessicaGettingCheeky

You look absolutely beautiful as always! I’ve been interested in Chanel’s cream blush formula for quite some time, but I simply cannot make up my mind about which I’d like. Présage is quite lovely!

    ♥ Jessica

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thansk so much, Jessica! You should swatch them all! If you want a really bold one I’d recommend Fantastic. I can’t believe how much pigment that one manages to pack!

  • http://www.glambunctious.com/ Kristen / Glambunctious

Lovely, lovely, lovely! Gorgeous shot of you, Sunny!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thanks so much, Kristen! I’m still struggling a little with the new camera. Took me forever to get just one shot right LOL

  • Memoiselle

Hey Sunny, I agree that the formula is really good and blending is not a problem at all! I mainly use my finger to dab in the color and use my brush to blend, I think the finish is just beautiful!

    • http://mostlysunnyblog.com/ Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Meryl, it’s much easier to just use a clean finger, isn’t it? I doubt any brush would be able to produce the same fallout-free result!
