When I bought Laura Mercier Sand Glow a while back, I knew it wouldn’t be my last Caviar Stick. While the formula doesn’t exactly “wear like iron” on me, it is more than satisfactory over a primer, and I just adore their dimension and depth! Over the summer, I picked up Grey Pearl, and I have happily worn it countless times ever since!
Grey Pearl is a grayish taupe with a dose of mauve. The finish is shimmery, maybe softly frosty but very delicate. It goes on smoothly. I prefer to do two very thin layers (blended out) for opaque coverage. Over a primer, it can last all day even in the heat!
Here is how Grey Pearl swatches. Left: layered. Right: blended out
You have seen Grey Pearl in action in this look. Here are a couple more pictures in which you see it better (I’m wearing Chanel Hasard on the outer half/in the crease):
Bottom line: If you like eyeshadow sticks, you’ve got to take a look at Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks. The shades have the most depth I’ve seen in shadow sticks (which also means it looks different on everyone, so swatch them if you can), and Grey Pearl is definitely a winner! I’m already thinking about picking up Khaki for autumn/winter.
Have you tried Laura Mercier Caviar Sticks? If so, what are your favorite shades (so I can put them on my wish list, ha)?
