It’s official: I am smitten with Givenchy Ondulations Précieuses! I did one look to showcase all three pieces I have, and I am urging everyone to take a look at this collection!
To start off, we have Ondulations d’Or Unique Eyeshadow. The compact has a slightly rubberized texture.
The mirror actually tilts much further back than what you see in the photo (held together by the ribbon), and the compact snaps shut with a magnet.
It also comes with a small sponge applicator.
Technically speaking, Ondulations d’Or is just one eyeshadow. However, you can easily get a trio out of it! The yellow gold and charcoal produce a nice greenish bronze when you mix them together!
The texture of Ondulations d’Or is very fine. Givenchy doesn’t specify the talc-free formula as suitable for being used both dry and damp. However, I have used mine damp a couple of times, and it hasn’t hardened. Since the color payoff/finish are a lot more dramatic damp, I would suggest you try!
The three shades swatched dry:
The three shades swatched damp:
Ondulations d’Or is pigmented and easy to blend. I did encounter some fallout during application, and maybe a tiny little amount of stray sparkle afterwards. The vibrancy doesn’t diminish though, so all in all color me impressed!
For the look, I used the gold (damp) for the inner third, bronze (damp) for the middle third, and the charcoal (dry) for the outer third. I also lined my upper and lower lash line/waterline with the charcoal:
Next up, we have Rose Précieux Le Rouge (311).
The snakeskin-patterned packaging is a golden bronze this time around!
Rose Précieux is a medium-dark rosy red with a satin finish. The formula is as impressive as the regular Le Rouge line. It glides on easily, doesn’t slide around, fades evenly, and lasts for 6 hours. It can survive a full meal and multiple drinks, and it never strays out of my natural lip lines! It is also somehow hydrating.
This is how Rose Précieux swatches. Left: one pass. Right: built up.
This is how it looks on my lips:
Last but not least, meet my favorite nail polish this season: Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis (14)!
Let me just say this darkened bronzy olive green with multi-chrome shimmer blows my mind!
Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis has a slightly thicker consistency, but as long as you scrape off as much excessive as you can before you lay the brush on your nail, it’s all good! The intense color payoff covers completely and smoothly with one coat, and there is almost no brushstroke.
Bronze Précieux is a pretty unique shade in my book. The only nail polish in my collection that I thought might be comparable is the revamped aengland Holy Grail. They might look somehow similar in the bottle, but that’s where the similarity ends.
I was going to do a comparison swatch of the two, but Holy Grail turned out to look really nice next to Bronze Précieux, so I left it on as an accent nail!
Now who is also drooling all over Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis?
