Givenchy Ondulations Précieuses Review & Look

Givenchy Ondulations Precieuses FOTD

It’s official: I am smitten with Givenchy Ondulations Précieuses! I did one look to showcase all three pieces I have, and I am urging everyone to take a look at this collection!

Givenchy Ondulations d'Or Bronze Précieux eyeshadow

To start off, we have Ondulations d’Or Unique Eyeshadow. The compact has a slightly rubberized texture.

The mirror actually tilts much further back than what you see in the photo (held together by the ribbon), and the compact snaps shut with a magnet.

It also comes with a small sponge applicator.

Technically speaking, Ondulations d’Or is just one eyeshadow. However, you can easily get a trio out of it! The yellow gold and charcoal produce a nice greenish bronze when you mix them together!

The texture of Ondulations d’Or is very fine. Givenchy doesn’t specify the talc-free formula as suitable for being used both dry and damp. However, I have used mine damp a couple of times, and it hasn’t hardened. Since the color payoff/finish are a lot more dramatic damp, I would suggest you try!

The three shades swatched dry:

Ondulations d’Or is pigmented and easy to blend. I did encounter some fallout during application, and maybe a tiny little amount of stray sparkle afterwards. The vibrancy doesn’t diminish though, so all in all color me impressed!

For the look, I used the gold (damp) for the inner third, bronze (damp) for the middle third, and the charcoal (dry) for the outer third. I also lined my upper and lower lash line/waterline with the charcoal:

Next up, we have Rose Précieux Le Rouge (311).

The snakeskin-patterned packaging is a golden bronze this time around!

Givenchy Rose Précieux (311) Le Rouge

Rose Précieux is a medium-dark rosy red with a satin finish. The formula is as impressive as the regular Le Rouge line. It glides on easily, doesn’t slide around, fades evenly, and lasts for 6 hours. It can survive a full meal and multiple drinks, and it never strays out of my natural lip lines! It is also somehow hydrating.

This is how it looks on my lips:

Last but not least, meet my favorite nail polish this season: Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis (14)!

Let me just say this darkened bronzy olive green with multi-chrome shimmer blows my mind!

Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis has a slightly thicker consistency, but as long as you scrape off as much excessive as you can before you lay the brush on your nail, it’s all good! The intense color payoff covers completely and smoothly with one coat, and there is almost no brushstroke.

Givenchy Bronze Précieux, aengland Holy Grail

Bronze Précieux is a pretty unique shade in my book. The only nail polish in my collection that I thought might be comparable is the revamped aengland Holy Grail. They might look somehow similar in the bottle, but that’s where the similarity ends.

I was going to do a comparison swatch of the two, but Holy Grail turned out to look really nice next to Bronze Précieux, so I left it on as an accent nail!

Now who is also drooling all over Givenchy Bronze Précieux Le Vernis?

Mostly Sunny disclosure

  • Isabelle

Not a huge fan of the polish, but your eyes.. WOW! Great look you did! Love the lipstick as well. I guess you know your look for NYE 😉

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Isabelle! I might wear something like this indeed!

  • Bella

Very pretty!!! I think the gold in the eyeshadow is a bit (ok a LOT) too yellow for my tastes, though…I am quite yellow enough already. I like the nail polish; it reminds me of Chanel Alchemie, though the latter is a bit greener.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Bella, I’m pretty yellow too, but most golds work! I actually like Bronze Precieux more than Alchemie, as the formula/brush are easier to work with!

  • peggy timmermans

This look just goes so well on you Sunny! Love it!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Thanks so much, Peggy!

  • Sara_BeauTime

Exactly these are the colors I was talking about! Look so stunning on you, it certainly has a vintage feel to that, love it. As for me, that green golden tones are telling me to pass on that 😉

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks, Sara! Too bad these aren’t your colors!

  • fancie

This collection is so beautiful! The lipstick packaging is making me want it but I have enough pinky red lippies lol. The eye shadow is SO pretty!! I love how versatile it is and the design imprint. Even the polish is pretty! The look you created has me excited for this collection now lol. Beautiful Sunny!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks, Fancie! I agree: everything here is very pretty!

  • Lily

I love the look you created, Sunny :-) I don’t think the eye shadow colours are all that unique even though the star looks good. I like the nail colour though…rustic bronze…

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Lily! YES definitely get the nail polish! I have nothing like it and I’m sure it’ll get a lot of love!

  • Nati

Sunny, you look gorgeous! Perfect look for a night out. This is totally my cup of tea. I love gold, but for special occasions only.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Nati! I actually wear gold often enough. It was one of the first shades I fell in love with, because it adds something to my brown eyes :)

  • Lenallure .

i see why you’re smitten with this collection! there are so many but only a few suits for the holiday mood and “you” at the same time. i think this does it for you. you look beautiful!!
alas, i think this is too gold for me although it features that gorgeous dark grey. i love the lipstick, though. the packaging!!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Lena! You should definitely check out Le Rouge! I’d happily wear most shades in the permanent line-up!

  • Larie

These are all my kind of colors, too! Especially love the nail color.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Oh yaaaay! Get it while you can, Larie!

  • expatmuaddict

Woah woah woah, looking absolutely smokin’ here Sunny!! WOWZERS!! I had seen that eyeshadow and thought ‘looks amazing, totally unwearable though’ but it looks incredible on you and the green colour is absolutely right up my street. Seriously tempting but I have to say you are totally rocking it.

The packaging of the lipstick is utterly swoon-worthy. I have two of the leather cases and they’re incredible lipsticks-inside and out.

    Another lust worthy post!

    Stacey Expat Make-Up Addict

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Stacey! If you end up getting any of these, I’d like to know what you think! It’s strange how with my stash of greenish shades, I can’t seem to find one that is remotely close to this one!

  • Natasja

Wow, wow, wow. All these products just scream luxury and class (but ‘screaming’ seems a bit contradicting then haha) and I love them! The eyeshadow is quite brilliant and the lipstick is much softer than expected on your lips. That’s good though, because a lot of attention are going to your eyes anyways :)

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Natasja, my lips are more pigmented, so most shades would look more toned-down on me. What you said definitely makes sense!

  • Chris El

The eyeshadow “trio” looks stunning. I’ve never owned a Givenchy lipstick, but that packaging is so luxe.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Chris, definitely check out Le Rouge! The formula is everything a luxury lipstick should be!

  • Sofia

Oh wow normally I don’t like gold nail polish. Then when I continued to scroll down and I saw the pictures on your fingers,… wow I see what you mean, gorgeous!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Sofia, it’s really not that gold, and it IS gorgeous!

  • Replica

The whole look is just wow, you do realise we are all going to have to go and buy these now don’t you.. 😉

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thanks so much, girl <3 If I could pick ONE thing it'd be the nail polish, but then again that's really cruel!

  • Natalie

This is such a beautiful collection! The whole look it creates looks amazing on you.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Natalie! These are some really nice pieces!

  • rachlovespenguins

Oooooooo shiny! Something tells me I probably have similar shadow colours lurking in my vanity but if I don’t then this one is definitely going on the wishlist. And I think the lipstick might go there just because the packaging is so darn pretty. :)

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Rach, you should check! I really love the lipstick. It’s bright enough but not too bright!

  • Angel

Holy gorgeous packaging! Love the look you did too!! So pretty :)

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Angel! Givenchy does do pretty fancy packaging!

  • TracyBeautyReflections

You look amazing in reds and golds Sunny! Just gorgeous!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

      Thanks so much, Tracy! <3

  • Liz

Holy crap, I LOVE ALL OF IT. So elegant!

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Hey Liz, check this collection out if you can! There’s some really good stuff in there!

  • marciaf

I love this look on you. Everything is gorgeous. I’m glad you showed that you can make that middle color but I do wonder how long you’ll be able to do it. I’ve never bought Givenchy nail polish but that looks perfect for the season.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Thanks so much, Marcia! It’s actually easier to pick up a mixture of the two colors than the gold on its own! I’m loving that nail polish big time as well :)

  • Icaria

OMG Sunny!!! Everything G.O.R.G.E.O.U.S on you !!! I’m drooling darling, I’m drooling! I can only hope we get the nail polish. For some reason my local Sephora doesn’t get the entire new collections.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Aww thanks so much, Helene! I’ve been told that the eyeshadow isn’t available in the US, but I really hope you’ll get the nail polish and the lipstick!

  • fiona furtado

Hey sunny! The Lipstick is GORGEOUS! The nail polish too is pretty unique.

    • Sunny @Mostly Sunny

Oh I LOVE that nail polish! I wore it many times last winter, and I can’t wait to take it out now!
